“Had a great experience here”

The service was great. Our server was very attentive to our large party of 14. The food was all great. We ate seafood. Nice atmosphere. Wine list was very good and reasonably priced which was truly appreciated. Had a terrific Malbec. All the seafood dishes were great as were the oysters served an an appetizer. If we return we will definitely come back here and would highly recommend the Oyster Company.

A great place not to be missed. The staff is wonderful...our waitress actually explaining if we were going to order oysters that we should get that order together so we wouldnt have to wait too long. The meals were all ample and delicious!! We were a party of 9 and the food came out in a timely fashion...I hope to return soon!

Every time we come down to the Cape we stop by The OC. Some of the best seafood in New England and a top notch staff that always makes every visit welcoming and homely. Highly recommend for 1st timers!

“Good food. A bit pricey but it is cape cod!”

We went here based on trip advisor reviews. First we made a reservation as recommended. We got there and had to wait for our table anyway... No big deal... The restaurant is very small which is why you should have a reservation. Their bread with aioli was delicious. We had the Portuguese mussels and fresh oysters. Very yummy. For dinner my husband had the paella which was a special and I had the Dijon swordfish. Was very tasty but I agree that it wasn't necessary to drown it with so much sauce as it overpowered the fish! They had a Caesar salad and chicken fingers on the menu which my children enjoyed. It was a family friendly restaurant. We would go back there again.

“Such a disappointment!”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

Having read about this restaurant from a number of forums, we were quite excited about going. What a let down! First, IT'S VERY LOUD. But that just ambiance. What I can't understand is why a chef who serves fresh quality food would hide it with overwhelming sauces. I had swordfish that came smothered in a creamy Dijon sauce. There were about three bites where there was no sauce and the fish was excellent. The saucy part was unedible and there was no way to tell what was under the sauce... It could have been tofu; all that there was there is the consistency of the fish. The tuna was also drowned in a sauce but in that case the sauce was not as overpowering. But why serve a cut of tuna that is 1/4 inch thick. Don't we all want a tuna steak? I guess not. As for service, the waitress picked up my plate of virtually uneaten swordfish with a big pile of dried out rice pilaf and didn't say a word about the fact that the plate was full. Not a word. Sometimes restaurants get a buzz and just don't care anymore.
