We absolutely love the fall when things quiet down and restaurant deals reappear. The Oyster Company publishes coupons for a half dozen oysters on the half shell and we had accumulated two of them. We enjoyed the perfectly chilled oysters served on a bed of shaved ice with cocktail sauce, horseradish and a lemon wedge. And that was only the beginning. The $28 prix fixe menu had extraordinary choices: appetizers such as tuna tostada which I wish I had photographed - beautiful presentation! A paella just loaded with mussels, savory sausage and chicken in a flavorful broth and a wasabi duck served with a scallion risotto and bok choy. The duck melted in my mouth! Desserts included a chocolate and dark cherry bread pudding and a pecan pie in addition to tempting other choices.
