I just returned from a four night stay; we ve been here every year since 1990 and now visit twice a season. The owner is in the process of upgrading all the rooms and the well landscaped property. There s a new deck overlooking the beach and a stone patio above the deck. Rooms are meticulously cleaned and the heated pool is spotless. If you are lucky enough to secure an ocean front room, you can here the ocean lapping up on the beach. The owner Cheryl and staff Carlos and Lisa are the best!

i love this motel, the service and cleanliness are impeccable. the beach is right there and beautiful, no dragging all your stuff along way to get to water. owner, Cheryl is the best. this is not a rowdy place but you can party there, i will not stay anywhere else in the area. pauline is great too and Juan carlos, they all are . i have nothing negative to say about this motel. cynthia derosia goodwin

Room was very small. Beds comfortable. Minimal breakfast and doesn't start until 8 AM.
Gorgeous ocean front. Too many rules to keep track of. Don't like having to pay in advance. I've never skipped paying but doesn't give a feeling of trust.

Stayed off season in early September when rates are very reasonable at $110. Rooms are small but comfortable and are in the process of being upgraded. Pool is heated and beach is nearby and clean. Carlos and staff do a good job catering to guests. A very light breakfast is offered from 8 to 10 am (cakes and coffee). Nearby café and restaurants satisfy most appetites.

Don't book rooms for any more days than you know you are staying. Refunds are not normally given and a $30 cancellation fee applies.

Room Tip: Insist on lower room if stairs are a problem

Our group of six stayed in one of the efficiency units from August 16th to August 19th. I only have one complaint about an otherwise exceptional stay. We were in a corner room on the second floor near a flood light. Unfortunately, this illuminated the room at night. A few of us had difficulty falling asleep because of the light. The problem was rectified by the purchase of a sleep mask. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything from wine glasses to cutlery. We found the grounds to be very well maintained. The outdoor pool was nice and the deck was obviously newly remodeled. Their private beach is on the small side, but was never crowded. There was always an ample supply of chairs. We also found the staff to be both courteous and helpful. The Colony Beach Motel is well worth considering for your next visit to the Cape.

Have written reviews before about Colony Beach and almost want to keep this little gem to myself. I have enjoyed going here since 2005 . Lots of renovations since I have started to stay. Hoping to extend my stay longer next year. Each time I introduce some else to this place they love it too!

My husband has gone to the cape his entire life, and would like our 3 year old to experience the same childhood memories. This was our first time at the colony beach and won't be our last. Just having the beach close and a heated pool with children is a plus. Rooms are a little outdated we had double bed 1st level poolside. The place is kept clean. We used the grill to cook two nights and they have the utensils for u to use. Its also nice that they give u towels and beach chairs to use! Another plus to those with small children they have a coin operating washer and a dryer. My only complaint would be the beds. They are pretty hard and uncomfortable. Other than that its a really great family place.
