“41 Longell”
Reviewed July 1, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I like this compact cottage. The living room is comfortable, the beds are comfortable in the small bedrooms, and kitchen area is great. I've stayed in this cottage several times. The street is quiet,

“Really close to the beach!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We arrived on Saturday and picked up keys at Martha Murray real estate office, it was busy but they got us out in 5 minutes. we went to house and liked that it was on a dead end dirt road and only a 5 minute walk to Longell Rd.beach..The beach is only for residents or guests staying on that road..
The beach was nice and we had it mostly to ourselves, just a few other couples..there was alot of sea weed, but the the public beach next door had little so we swam there...we had to bring our own umbrella and beach chairs, and cooler for beverages. We purchased a beach cart at ocean state job lot and wheeled everything to beach..that worked perfectly.
The house had two bedrooms, the queen bed in adults room was cramped and only left a few feet on either side and i constantly scrapped my knees.
There was no dresser in the room either, only a nightstand so we had to "live out suitcase" and keep putting it on the bed to get our clothes. The other bedroom had two twin beds and a dresser, that was adequate for the 9 and 13 year olds clothes. the nightstand was between the beds and had a lamp on it. they wanted to plug in the radio they brought, and it was tough to find an outlet thru the maze of extension cords. I attribute that to to house being old and when upgraded they didn't add more outlets. The living room was small but had a nice couch that sat three and a large chair facing away from tv...the flat screen 27" was mounted above a fireplace. there was alot of light in there and it felt bigger. the kitchen had a newer fridge and newer cabinets and a gas stove that worked well..there was a farmers table and it was easy to clean...the countertops were fine and easy to clean. there were ALOT of Glasses and plenty of plates and coffee cups (small cups for coffee) there were plastic bowls for snacks and utensils for the gas grill...the dishwasher was loud so run it when you leave, also it was not screwed to the cabinet underneath so everytime you opened it the door fell to the floor! be careful!
there was open cabinets to put all of our food in and there were ice cube trays in the freezer..the floors were nice and easy to sweep being a prefinished wood floor with throw rugs. the Bedrooms had tv/dvrs and one in living room , all with cable tv.The bathroom was tiny and had a full tub and shower curtain for the shower, the vanity was tiny and they stuck a huge bowl sink on the TOP, the toilet was short and was difficult for me and im only 5'10" the tub was not cleaned well by cleaning people. there was a medicine cabinet over the toilet, bring your own TP.. the deck was large with a large glass table and nylon chairs to seat six, a smaller glass table was handy too to put things on. the large table had an umbrella and there were some trees to offer shade at very end of day, a fence to the left offered privacy but the outdoor shower stall was off the deck to the right and we could see the neighbors on their back deck also, Its fine and not that intrusive, we felt like we could leave our beach stuff and bikes behind a fence and nothing was stolen..Its a quiet neighborhood with some year round residents and many rentals.. We had a 3 minute drive to a newer dunkin donuts near the swan river bridge. All the restaurants we could go to were near by and we could bike to the sundae school and the dog house or Joeys pizzaria. One thing we did find was the cleaning person was not very thorough, We found kids clothing under the beds, (from the last tenant) and cereal under the living room chair, the bathroom as i mentioned. all in all nothing that we couldnt live with for the price we paid and the nearness of the beach at peak season...Most likely won't stay at that one again, cause of bathroom and small master bed but Martha Murray was a pleasure to deal with and highly recommend them.
