The pottery was founded by a gentleman and is presently operated by his very talented children. The art work is shown both in a building and outside in a woodsy setting complete with a fish pond.

This pottery studio / store is hidden off rout 6a in the woods up a slightly creepy dirt road. Never-mind the slightly creepy vibe, this place is unusual and interesting with a meandering studio where they are throwing pottery and pottery displayed indoor, covered outdoor, and among the pine trees around the property. The pieces are too rustic for my tastes, but it's definitely an experience checking out the castle-like ceramic bird houses and other pottery. Ample free parking.

Members of the Holl family has been making pottery for decades. Their studio and shop is set in the woods down a side road and up a hill. The setting is beautiful and serene, the pottery inspiring.

I found this place tucked in the woods behind the parking lot to the Scargo Lake swimming area.

What first struck me were the ceramic fairy castle bird houses that line the walkway into the studio. Mystical and beautiful.

The studio/gallery was full of other pieces that were both creative and practical. There were also a number of open spaces where you could watch the artists at work.

I didn't buy anything this time around but really enjoyed browsing. I'll be back.

Go up the hill from Scargo beach. Really neat pine forest setting. There is plenty of pottery to view and some neat garden art.
