The views are beautiful from this tower, but being afraid of heights makes this a challenge for me. I forget every time I take visitors there. That said, bring your camera!

If it is not too far out of your way, then make a short stop and take in the view. We went during Thanksgiving week where no one was around. The view from the top was very nice. One note: follow the road sign instead of your iPhone's Map app. or google map as both took us to a dead end neighboring street that we had to turn around to get back on the main road and seek out signs.

Whenever we have visitors from outside of the Cape, we try to take them to the Scargo Hill tower. The view of Cape Cod Bay is spectacular, especially on a really clear day. You can see from the bridge to the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, with Scargo lake directly below. for someone who is unable to climb the tower, the view from the parking area is pretty good, but the view from the top of the tower is tops. Lovely, and free of charge.

Nice little interlude on your way somewhere else--good if you have kids who like to climb, etc. The view can be pretty charming.
