This was one of the cleanest motels we have ever stayed in. The pool area is kept immaculate and the water is the perfect temp. We stayed for just over a week and our room was perfect. The setting is very pretty and it is tucked back off the highway. The staff at the front desk are always willing to help and offered us information and maps to catch the train to Boston. Couldn't have been any nicer. The train station was a quick drive away. There are many restaurants around to choose from. We had one tiny suggestion that a high chair be put in the breakfast area for people with small children. We had our own booster seat with us so we were able to use it. Truly a great motel at a wonderful price. We thank them for a great stay and left a note thanking housekeeping in our room.

We stayed here for a few days to explore Salem/ Gloucester, etc.
I had read the mixed reviews on tripadvisor and had some concerns about the motel, but they were unfounded on arrival. We had a spacious room opposite the swimming pool, with parking outside our door. 2 beds and a couch and still lots of space, plus a small fridge which was most unexpected but very welcome. Bathroom was large and clean.
The decor could maybe do with a slight revamp but certainly wasn't terrible. The beds were ok - I wish motels in America would hurry up and get rid of sheets and blankets and get duvets!
The pool was lovely - great way to freshen up/relax after hot days out sightseeing.
There was apparently free coffee & pastries in reception in the mornings but we didn't partake.
Oh and Dominos pizza deliver really quickly right to your motel door (great after a long flight from the UK). Good free wifi too.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the pool.

I am awarding this hotel with four stars, but the rating really should be about 3.5 stars.

Room was clean and odor free. Our room was large. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. Grounds were well maintained and attractive.

Breakfast was good, included were different types of bagels, toast, oatmeal and cereal. Breakfast area was small, and crowded on most mornings.

Since I am an early bird, I appreciated the 24 hour coffee, tea, hot chocolate availability.

Be careful of the first step (door threshold) into the room, the step is higher then most hotel rooms.

Our room even had a loveseat sofa that was comfortable.

Staff was helpful.

I checked reviews before booking this motel. I normally don't book motels but this was a last minute motel after an open bar wedding so we didn't want to drive home. At first glance, thought it appeared clean (like reviews i had read prior). Bed was hard and very uncomfortable, A/C was extremely loud, woke up in am to wash my face and brush teeth. Picked up face cloth and a huge bug dropped out of it. Then, turned on faucet, two bugs came out of faucet and dirty water. I took pictures and showed front desk and she said, must be a town water problem and that was it. My bros. had room beside mine and his water was fine! Ended up using bottle water to brush my teeth (luckily had some in the car). Would never have been able to use shower. The toilet was also yellow and stained. Front desk said that theirs was too! and again, must be town problem. I checked my brothers bathroom and it looked better then ours. Will be awhile before i stay at a motel again!

Hello Rocco,

We are very sorry your room was not up to our high standards.
The Town of Danvers for the Month of July are flushing all the water pipes and this is out of our control. Some rooms did have a tinge to the water but the Town of Danvers assures everyone that the water is fine. I do understand that it does not look fine.
This is the timeof the year with us being an outdoor property that flies/japanese beetles, earwigs etc... do get into the room and our Housekeeping department does work very hard to make sure they have removed them. It is sometimes impossible to be rid of them all as wetrack them in on our shoes, when entering the room.
I do not know how they came outof the faucet but maintenance did go in after your stay and remove all the plumbing in the sink and cleaned the drains so this will not happen again.
We did give you a full refund and we apologize as this is not how our rooms are as the reviews state.
We hope you will give us another try and I would appreciate you calling me or Lisa my Sales Manager so we can speakwith you directly.

Very nice motel, great rooms, very clean, beds we're comfortable. The pool was very clean.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We did find the location to be awkward, hard to get to. Overall a very nice place to stay.
