“A Danvers GEM!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

Having visited several times, we've always found this restaurant to be excellent. Food is well prepared and delicious. It is somewhat pricey, but well worth it. A great place for a special evening. We've met the owner/chef whose goal is to provide Danvers with a first rate dining experience Nine Elm is a small and charming restaurant - and well worth a visit.

“World class dining in Danvers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

I was recently in Danvers for a conference, and since I'd never been there before, rolled the dice on Nine Elm. Jackpot! I dined there twice during my stay, and would have eaten there again had they not been closed. The food is fresh, expertly prepared and generously portioned. A few of my favorite dishes were Buffalo Calamari, Mushroom Tartlet, and Pan-Roasted Salmon with lemon-thyme butter. Though the main courses are yummy, you can easily make a delicious tapas-style meal of appetizers alone.
The room is small, so make sure to call ahead for reservations. There are 7 seats at the bar, which are (for the most part) doled out on a first-come, first-serve basis, although some savvy locals seem to have a standing reservation on certain nights.
I'm already looking forward to next year's conference, just so I can enjoy another evening at Nine Elm.
P.S. - They also make a mean martini!

“Quality & Value at Nine Elm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

We were recently in Danvers for a conference. Having no idea where to go for good eats, we turned to Trip Advisor. During the 5 nights there, we dined at Nine Elm twice (it would have been 3 times but they are closed on Sundays). Food is well-prepared with a focus on local products and the portions are quite generous. Service, especially if you sit at the bar, is like being at a friend's home. The ambiance is quaint. It's easy to see that the owners love what they do, and do it extremely well.
We'll be back and recommend highly!

“Local welcoming atmosphere with extremely good food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

We've been to Nine Elm about 5 or 6 times. Each time we have found the services to be high quality and friendly. While the menu is not large, the meals are always very good. I love the salads and tuna appetizer. My wife goes for the shrimp with ravioli. The pasta bolagnese is rich and satisfying.

Oh, and they have a small but really nice selection of craft beers on tap, and a nice wine list.

Always a safe bet for pleasant and satisfying meal.

“Outstanding food, cozy atmsophere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

This small restaurant in Danvers Square is a great spot for an intimate dinner with friends or a wonderful date night spot. The menu is somewhat eclectic, but there is something for everyone. I recently dined with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Swordfish was a special that night which I could not resist, and it was fabulous. One friend chose scallops, which were a large portion, the other a pork chop that was almost 2 inches thick, tender and juicy. Definitely worth a trip, reservations suggested. Very small bar area.
