“Great Meal at 9 Elm”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Really enjoyed 9 Elm in Danvers Square. Fillet Mignon and Cider-Brined pork chop were both outstanding. The entrees were presented beautifully with their accompanying potato and vegetable. I also started off with the butternut squash raviolis, which were very very delicate and tasty. Finished things off with a white chocolate bread pudding, which did not disappoint. The only thing that keeps me from giving this restaurant 5 stars is the seating. The tables around the perimeter of the dining room are fine. It's the tables in the middle of the dining room that are too close together. We felt like we were dining with strangers. Other than that, I highly recommend 9 Elm!

“We'll Be Back”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Ate there for the first time recently. It's is all that is reported by enthusiasts for the place. The food was delicious; accompanied by a very reasonably priced white Burgundy. Well worth a visit.

“Good food and atmosphere”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Had dinner there last night, we've been to 9 Elm several times and it's always been very good. Great atmosphere and the service was good as well. Ordered the beet salad and stuffed dates appetizers, both tasty. My GF had the scallops and I ordered the duck breast - both cooked well and very flavorful. We were too full for dessert but they looked good as well...maybe next time. Nice wine and beer list too.

If you haven't bee there - give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

“Perfect for a Romantic Rendezvous!”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

This is the ideal restaurant for an intimate and romantic night out. The atmosphere is cozy and the lighting is soft which makes this a perfect place for a special rendezvous. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and the specials were even more intriguing. We started off with the sautéed shrimp appetizer which was mouth watering and a tease for what was yet to come. We had to try the special entrees which included a surf and turf with sirloin steak and shrimp and the swordfish with spinach and mash potatoes. Every bite was tantalizing to our taste buds and the meal was ample enough to take some home. We capped off the night by sharing the white chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce and strawberries. The food was delectable, the service was impeccable and the night was truly memorable.

Make a reservation, because this delightful place is delightfully small. We had the duck: OMG so good, and best I've had. we finished with white chocolate bread pudding: heaven on a plate.
