I have stayed at this hotel Mon-Friday for 5 weeks straight Oct-Nov 2011. The staff was outstanding and the property is very nice. The area is not the greatest but there is a lot of things to do withing 5-8 miles if you have a car.

The best part of the stay was the nice king size bed we had. Not being located close enough to the subway we had to take the hotel shuttle to a subway entrance every day. We tried to get breakfast room service but no one picked up the card they said to leave out. Also, all breakfast room service dishes were left in the hallways for literally hours. The bathroom exhaust was loud, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed while sleeping. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The staff were friendly and helpfull. They advised us not to walk around the neighborhood at night.

My family spent one night at the Wyndham, and left our vehicle at their location for a week. The hotel was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, and the employees were extremely helpful. I would definitely return to the Wyndham in the future.

Stayed one night with my mom. We wanted to visit Boston, so we took the earliest flight in to maximize daytime in the city and we showed up at the hotel at 8:30 a.m. Of course the rooms were not ready, which we expected, but the staff was very friendly and stored our bag for us. We then promptly got back on the shuttle we had just taken from the airport and he dropped us off at the train station. The room we were assigned was clean with everything you would need and more, and bedbug (and all other kind of bugs) free. Beds were comfy and we slept well. We checked out early the next morning and they once again stored our bags for us while we did some more sightseeing. That night, took the shuttle back from the train station to pick up our bags and then shuttled back to the airport. It was a great 2 day trip. Of course the shuttle is not your personal limo or cab, so there may be a wait (we didn't wait more than 10 minutes any of the 6 times we used it) and Boston is a major metropolitan city with traffic issues just like any other city, so having to take that into consideration is not unusual. For what you pay to stay in Boston at a similar hotel, I would stay at the Wyndham Chelsea again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nites in mid October (2 people).

PROS:
2 Double beds, good space, work desk, good heater, decent lighting, lounge chair and fridge. We got free WIFI and the connection was pretty good for regular email/surfing/webmail etc. Beds were comfortable and there were a lot of power outlets allowing multiple gadgets to be hooked up at the same time.

Rooms are clean and inviting with enough space for two large bags of luggage and two adults with laptops to get work done. Fridge is a mini - but you can store some groceries in there if you need to.

There are some restaurants in the hotel - but we did not use these.

The lights in the room take a minute to 'warm up' to maximum brightness. So when you first turn on the lights it seems darker than it really is.

We were on the fourth floor and they accommodated us for early check-in. The front desk was friendly and helpful.

Parking was free - in an outdoor lot on the property.

Negatives:
The location is isolated from the city of Boston. So if you don't want to drive and want to use the Subway - you have to wait for the shuttle than only runs every 30 mins. Also, the shuttle takes about 15 mins to get from the Hotel to the Subway stop ....so this can be a pain. This can also be a problem if you need to get to the airport and have to rely on their shuttle service. You can end up getting delayed during rush hour - so add an extra 30 mins of transit time to be safe.

The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is not that nice. Mostly industrial and a little run down. So you can't really enjoy walking around the area if you wanted to ....especially in the evening.

The rooms all face the street - so noise is a BIG issue. Since it's an industrial area - there are a lot of large trucks, semis and trains going by. Unless you're a deep sleeper, you're gonna have issues getting a good night sleep.

For the location you're going to be in (Chelsea), I think this hotel was quite over priced. Had we not needed to get to the airport on a morning flight - I would have rather stayed in the city of Boston.

I probably would not stay here again - the main reason is the lack of sleep quality due to city noise issues. It can really mess up your trip if you're consistently sleeping poorly.

Stayed here with my family while visiting colleges. Location could be better, but there was nothing downtown Boston so we stayed here. Clean rooms, very friendly staff. Showers weren't the best however.

We also had our car broken into. Someone smashed our window and took our GPS and Ipod.
We heard from a staff member that this happens "all the time" there and it would be unusual to NOT see the police there on a Sunday morning. They do give you a small piece of paper that was behind our room keys that warns you to take all belongings and valuables out of your car but unless you remove both your keys from the envelope you won't see it. We were called at 5 am by the front desk and the police to let us know what happened. We spent the next hour cleaning glass out of our car. We were very dissappointed in the way the front desk mgr handled the situation. We would NEVER stay there again. If you go, do NOT leave ANYTHING in your car.
