We spend a couple of nights. It was recommended as the best but I must say that it turned out to be far from it. We booked an ocean view suite which from the booking looked like we were on the water. It turned out we were on the side with a partial view of the small water way (the ocean beach is not there). The price was at the level of 5+ stars hotel but what we got was not. The room are simple. Our had the bedroom close to the road and by early morning you would wake up due to the car passing buy!! So not quite at all. The beach is not a beach where you can swim in. The breakfast Buffett is very very simply with the customary offerings that you get anywhere. I was expecting something a bit more higher standards. We will certainly not go there anymore. Check your room location before you book it you will get very dissapointed

This property is amazing and impeccable. We were immediately welcomed at our vehicle by staff and escorted to registration. Service and the food is top notch. Whether you're dining at the pool, beach, the restaurant, or in your room, we were treated with exceptional care and friendliness. The resort is family friendly - it was nice to enjoy the perks of a luxurious resort while still being able to have our children join and be accepted. I applaud the dining staff and resort staff for providing a wonderful experience. We are certain to return to Chatham Bars Inn.

Chatham Bars Inn has gotten better over time. This is a recent review from this July, but we have regularly stayed at the CBI over many summers.

The old seaside villas has undergone upgrades over the years. We stayed at the Seaview next to the golf course. The rooms are very modern, spacious, and quaint. The bathroom is well lit, modern, with excellent water pressure and hot water. Rooms come equipped with flat screen TV, cable, free wifi, outlets for USB chargers, and a refrigerator. The king bed suite has a nice fire place. The double bed suite is very large, where we were able to store two bicycles in the room out of the way. The main house sits on top of a bluff with grand views of the water. The beach and pool are across the street. The hotel staff sets up the lounge chairs and the umbrellas for the patrons, with beach side food/beverage services.

The staff is very accommodating, friendly and gracious.

The restaurants at the CBI are outstanding. Stars is the upscale main dining room. Food is exquisite, but portions are small and the meal is very expensive, but well worth it. The beachside restaurant has excellent but expensive food, with great views. The Sacred Scrod serves very good standard American cuisine. However, my family overwhelmingly enjoyed the New England Clambake, which is served twice a week on at the beach restaurant. The clambake is a prix fixe all you can eat ($20 lobster option). Usually, we avoid buffets, but the CBI Clambake has never failed to deliver.

The town is a short walk from the CBI. There are many nice restaurants in Chatham and the surrounding towns. Lots of small shops in Chatham. There is a bicycle trail that goes west and north from Chatham, but there are too many stop signs along the way. One can bike dozens of miles on the trail.

Our family loves being pampered at the CBI.

However, staying at the CBI will be very expensive, so be prepared.

First time here on a one day business trip. Outstanding service and location. We had a meeting at the boat house with excellent views with breakfast, which was ok. I stayed at the beach house and the room was like a normal bedroom, large and upscale, bathroom had all white tile and fantastic shower/bathtub. The only thing negative was rattling pipes all night which woke me up on a few occasions. Driver from the airport commented I was staying at the nicest hotel on the cape, certainly incredible grounds and location.

We passed through Chatham 23 years ago in autumn and said one day we would return in summer to see the hotel full and vibrant
This was the year to go back!
Everything we had hoped for was realised. All the staff were most attentive and really eager to ensure our stay was made as pleasant as possible.
I don't think the word "no" exists there
From a superb meal in Stripes to being taken to and collected from a local restaurant everything was great.
During a delightful drinks evening I met the new Resort Manager, Ryan Adams, who clearly had a passion for is job and for the resort. I am sure the hotel will get even better under his guidance
