“Another Magnificant Anniversary Weekend”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

Returned for another anniversary weekend and experienced another magnificent weekend.
On arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff and were assigned a cottage suite with a wonderful view of the ocean. Upon arrival in the room, we found a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a card from the hotel wishing us a happy anniversary. This was a very pleasant surprised, because I had not informed the hotel that it was our anniversary. Obviously, they kept this fact on record from our last stay 2 years earlier and realized we were back for another anniversary. Nice touch.
The room was spacious and fantastic. The view of the ocean and sunrises was spectacular. Even though it was off season, walks on the beach were pleasant. Lunch at the tavern was delicious and the servicer was very attentive. All-in-all another unforgettable weekend. We'll be back again.
I highly recommend the Chatham Bars Inn if you have a special event to celebrate.

I have never written a review or posted feedback online for any of our trips or getaways. I always read the reviews on tripadvisor before booking a vacation or checking out a new place. I find the feedback extremely helpful and spot on! I wanted to make sure I finally added a review of my own for the Chatham Bars Inn. Honestly, I really don't know where to start... This place is so near and dear in my heart. My husband and I got married here last March and recently returned for our 1 year anniversary celebration. The hotel and location is absolutely gorgeous!! The only thing that can compete with the actual hotel is the amazing staff! We had the pleasure of working with Clarissa Davis for our wedding and she truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams! Clarissa also made us feel like we were her only client, which is incredible since she coordinates several weddings & events each week. During our stay last year the entire staff made sure we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed. They truly catered to our every need. We had friends and family in from all across the U.S. and to this day they are still raving about their trip to CBI and how they were treated. It was truly a dream come true having our wedding at such a special place!

This past weekend we were lucky enough to go back and experience the same special treatment all over again. We ran into the valets when we first got there and they still remembered our names! We also saw Clarissa and she immediately greeted us, bought us a drink and sat with us to get caught up. Another treat was waiting for us in our room! When we walked in there was a very special note from the General Manager welcoming us and wishing us a happy anniversary!

We were sad to leave on Sunday but know that we will be back time and time again!

This place is really special. It has the feel of a gracious "grand dame"-style seaside hotel. Decor, views, common areas, rooms, and food are all top-notch. Our extended family has enjoyed many meals and celebrations here, and my husband and I have stayed as a couple several times. It isn't inexpensive to stay there, but is a splurge worth making.

We stayed at the Chatham bars inn for the murder mystery weekend. Everything was perfect, the staff, the rooms, the food. It was off season but you would never have known, everything was kept up perfectly.

My wife booked us a Saturday night retreat, our first time away from our newborn. While it was certainly off season (and much more affordable), the experience was not lacking. It happened to be a relatively warm weekend (Saturday-Sunday after Christmas), and we had a blast. We stayed in an end suite near the golf course, which included a fireplace (nice touch). We spent an evening at the spa, and then had dinner reservations at the Steak house (STARS). We then went to the pub (The Sacred Cod) for a few drinks after a delicious meal. A quaint, pleasant, trip, but bring your wallet.

I'm a picky guy, and I have no complaints. Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed for one night for our first time in the Chatham Bars Inn. I feel like it lived up to my expectations and was a wonderful 24 hours. We stayed in one of the oceanfront cottages; the room was beautifully decorated and super clean. It had a gas fireplace which was very cozy. The bed was very comfortable too. Due to terrible weather I can't speak to anything outside and hope to come back when the weather is better to fully enjoy the property. We had a very delicious dinner in the Stars restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was too. We also had brunch the next day and was just as happy with that. Every employee we came in contact with was very professional and polite. We hope to come back again sometime.

CBI was on my "Bucket List" to visit and but the rates seemed so steep for my travel budget. This past December, Amazon Local had a room rate of $179 for an Main Inn room or cottage room with valet parking and WiFi. I grabbed it and since the season to use it was before April 3-4 I booked it for the last weekend in March. It turned out to be a cold and rainy weekend but considering a blizzard passed through Chatham mid week, we arrived with no snow so we kept reminding ourselves about that! Upon arrival, the valet greeted us, told us where and which cottage we would be staying and showed us the Main property rooms and walked us to the front desk. It was a gorgeous, open room and large check-in area without any waiting. Very elegant but unpretentious and we were welcomed by a cheerful and knowledgeable staff. After check -in we were offered a glass of champagne and walked around the main area and if only the sun was shining we would have sat on the veranda in one of the Adirondack chairs to take it all in. The Inn was pretty full and yet not "busy". Everyone seemed to be happy that there was at least no snow.
We drove to our cottage and found our room-keys worked fine and the room was spacious and pristine. Bed was King size and had some beautiful bedding and great pillows. well appointed bath and L'occitane toiletries with PLENTY of towels for two. Nice touches with the slippers and bathrobes. Nespresso cafe machine was GREAT to have. Large plasma TV was working but since the storm hit not a full cable channels but wasn't a problem for us.The only reason I would give this 4 stars is because we could hear EVERY person that came into and out of the Cottage (guests, room service etc.) EVERY time. Even climbing the stairs and doors closing etc., which interrupted sleep in the early AM a few times. Regardless of what you pay, a good night's sleep here should be a priority. The managers have had to have heard about this before but really should look into trying to make it less noisy and more soundproof. We ate out in town for dinner but the next morning we enjoyed in their dining area with a great view of the ocean and had a delish breakfast of omelet and eggs benedict Yum--fresh squeezed OJ and really great coffee. Sat in the common area with the fireplace and reflected on how great our weekend was even with the weather not cooperating.

Room Tip: Noise quality may not be a problem in Main Inn-ask about staying in a room away form outside doors o...
