We just returned from a most charming stay at the Chatham Wayside Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean, and quite nicely decorated. A delightful courtyard with lovely flowers beckons you to just sit and relax in the gardens. There are rocking chairs on the front porch by the lobby. A gift shop is conveniently located right inside the lobby. The Inn is in a great downtown location, very close to many delightful shops.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and grounds, basic breakfast, included in your stay in their restaurant, the wild goose tavern but if you opt out of that and order breakfast you do get good portions and a decent breakfast, lunch was OK, dinner was really good, but again on par with Chatham pricing- truffle fries were AWESOME, located right in the middle of Main street, some rooms have balconies overlooking the park in the center of town with the town gazebo and in the summer, location where they have music, very nice quaint and simple, prices are in-line with most of Chatham, but as mentioned in reviews here the wayside is directly across from the squire, another great location in Chatham - best stuffed cohog ever, if you want to stay in the heart of Chatham on main street this is the place, despite its location rooms were quiet at night, very relaxing, A++

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the park

Whenever my husband and I want a quick getaway to the Cape, we choose the Chatham Wayside Inn. We love the downtown location, the balconies/porches and the clean, cozy atmosphere. We dash across the street to the Squire for lunch and then up and around the corner to the Impudent Oyster for a fabulous dinner. Great drinks in the Wild Goose Tavern. The "included" breakfast is spotty depending on the season -- just your basic continental breakfast.

Room Tip: If you have kids with you, it is well worth the extra charge to get a room with a balcony or an exte...

I would consider This is a beautiful B&B.Unfortunately there was a record heat wave. weather was over 90 on our visit too hot at beach with no breeze, too hot to walk around town and nothing to do at the Inn.the lobby was too hot and no where to go even the pool had little shade.

We have stayed at The Chatham Wayside many times, and have never been disappointed with our accommodations. A very clean, well maintained inn right in downtown Chatham. The front desk has always been staffed by wonderful professional people who do everything they can to make your stay a nice one.

We have been coming to the Cape for quite a few years. The Chatham Wayside Inn is an awesome hotel. Location is excellent....right in town. Just walk out your door and your in the middle of all the activity. Shops in town stay open late, great for an evening stroll after dinner. Rooms and all of hotel are really clean. We had a room with an outside patio facing the park. Was great to sit out at night and in the morning to have coffee. When we booked this room we were told that it had the covered porch/patio.....only to find out it was not the case. We had just the patio....was a little disappointed with the info we were given....front desk-booking should know what they are booking. Restaurant service and food was not great.....tried breakfast, dinner and late night snack! Wasn't impressed with any of them! Overall is a great hotel on the Cape....we will be back.

Our room was bright, cheerful and very clean. The air conditioning worked very well. The morning breakfast buffet was better than expected . You had a variety of healthy choices in addition to homemade muffins and pastries. You couldn't ask for more! The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We'll be returning again and again!

Room Tip: Our room was on the Inn's front, facing Main Street. The view was lovely!
