Even the waitress knew better than to ask how everything was.

Good: It was a lovely, clean restaurant with a well-groomed staff.

Bad: I had "fluffy waffle, crispy on the outside" $11.00. Added fruit $1.00. Got Eggo waffle with one strawberry sliced in thirds and five blueberries. If you want real syrup, that's extra too. My sister in law was equally disappointed in her meal for which she too overpaid.

We had an excellent meal here, from a food perspective. The room is European in styling, and the staff are nice (if a bit haphazard in service). Lots of wonderful seafood - the best crab cakes in Chatham! However, the air conditioning is horribly fierce (had to move table to escape it), and the room is badly configured (the long bar serves little purpose) - so that the tables are cramped.

Celestino's is a delightful little restaurant situated in the middle of the main street in Chatham, Massachusetts. The food was great, really worth the somewhat high prices.
Three of us ate there last week. Between us we ordered Lobster crepes (with plenty of lobster), a grilled caeser salad, a futti de Jardin salad, seafood en Papillote (with a really delicious sauce) and a warm chocolate lava cake. Both the food and the service was excellent. In true European style we were not rushed and the ambience of the place was great.
A good place for a special treat while on the Cape

Ushered in on a very busy Tuesday night to a two-person table in the middle of the restaurant. Doesn't sound so bad, but servers and diners were brushing past all the time. And it was right in the path of exceptionally fierce air conditioning, so we were very cold all evening.

The food, however, was sensational. My wife had salmon au poivre, which she concluded was amongst the best she'd ever had, while I had an excellent lobster pasta from the specials menu. These dishes were paired with a very good Sancerre from the (limited) wine list.

Service was a little harried, as they were clearly short-staffed, and the whole experience felt a little rushed.

Catch Celestino's on a quieter evening and it could be a five star experience.
