The bouillabaisse was excellent, and the salted caramel brownie desert was deadly delicious. The portion sizes were very generous—I think you get your money's worth here.

The service at the bar and the food is ALWAYS great. And it
's open year round. You can't go wrong with the mussels

Every time my husband and I go to Chatham, we always go to the Impudent Oyster. As a matter of fact, it is about the only place we go! The Vermont Butternut Bisque is a must with one of their huge rolls! The menu has typical items on it and some unusual ones. The daily specials are fantastic. We love this place so much, we have had lunch there and then gone back for dinner, then the next day for brunch!
Try it, you will not be disappointed!

This place has been around for some time and the fact it's survived and thrived is a testament to their food. Certainly a "must" if you come to this part of the Cape. We were on time for our reservation but there was a bit of a wait for our table, manager bought us a round of drinks while we waited…totally unsolicited! What I like about this place is their seafood is different than the typical seafood restaurant. I found everything well seasoned with fresh unique flavors. It has Portuguese and Mediterranean influences but you also will find Thai/Asian influences. Our party had mussels diablo which had just the right heat and a shrimp cocktail with large tasty shrimp. I had their Seafood Valencia which is a combo platter of seafood which was very unique and flavorful…loved it. We also had the Thai beef tips and shrimp and Cod piccata. Wine by the glass was very good and reasonably priced. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed but the service was great and timing of courses was spot on. You won't find the menu online, but don't let that stop you from some of the most innovative seafood anywhere.

Was a bit worried about this place because of the lack of net info, including a limited menu. Nice to be wrong. The published standard menu, difficult to find online, was augmented by a specials menu, which was as long as the standard.
For the three of us, two split a chef salad. One had an appetizer of scallops wrapped in bacon, another had mussels, and I had shrimp cocktail. Each was perfect. For dinner, one had sword fish, one a cod with crab, and I had a sirloin with a lobster tail. Each was perfectly cooked and presented.
Dinner was enhanced by a nice selection of wines by the glass. But, Amy made it all work by giving sage advice, pacing delivery, and maintaining a warm and humorous banter with us.
Given how full the restaurant was, I now understand why they don’t see the need for a web site..
