“Who doesnt love the squire...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Been going to the Squire for 25 years and it hasn't changed a bit. Great atmosphere, steady, reliable menu and fun times. Was great for a bachelor and even better now as a family. Keep going!

“Overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

One look at the menu and it seems like a visit to the frozen food section of Costco. Lobster ravioli for $25.95 was good, but overpriced. Service was poor. Captain's seafood platter was a bit better (same price) and if you want shrimp (served cold and unseasoned) they are $2 each on your Caesar salad. There is better food on the other side of the street.

“Crazy busy; good chowder”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

Stick with the beers and chowder! Crowds all the time, but we waited for a bar table and were seated fairly quickly.

“Busy tavern.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

There is two sides to this restaurant. One side is called the restaurant and the other is the tavern. My husband and I went there and it was an 1.5 hrs wait. Luckily there were two seats at the bar on the restaurant side. Otherwise I wouldn't have waited to eat here. They have a large selection of food on their menu. Seafood, chicken, beef, pasta and lots more seafood. My husband and I ordered drinks and a smoked salmon plate for an appetizer. I got the shrimp scampi which was an amazingly fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the grilled swordfish. I was pleasantly surprised at good the food was.
They have a separate late night menu with lots of fried foods too. They have entertainment in the tavern late at night. DJ's, live bands and karaoke.

“One hour's wait doesn't spoil eating experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

We called here on a Monday evening, while staying in Chatham, not expecting it to be too busy. We were told our table for two would be ready in about an hour. We returned less than an hour later and were shown to our table in this busy restaurant. The staff were very professional apart from the lady taking the reservations. She was quite brusque! Food we ordered was very good. I had sword fish which was delicious and my husband had sea food carbonara, appetiser size which was perfectly adequate. He really enjoyed his meal. The waitresses were very efficient and friendly. Good value for money too! Overall a good experience in this busy restaurant.
