This restaurant has been a fixture for over 30 years in the village of Chatham and is still going strong as a solid place for a meal and a popular watering hole for young people on the bar side. It's always crowded for meals during the peak summer months but you can usually get in quickly for dinner if you go before 5:30. No reservations are accepted.
The seafood offerings are the best, especially their swordfish specials. Service is generally friendly and efficient and large groups are accommodated. Decor is a bit dark and can feel worn at the end of a busy evening. The Squire is a part of Chatham's fabric and should be experienced if possible.
