We come to the cape for almost 2 mos. each year in the off season and we go to breakfast just about every day and a lot of times we have friends with us. we all have a great time, everyone is very friendly and the food is very good. Good quality, quantity and price. a nice place if you like to go to a cozy place where the locals go and you can also pick up a few odds and ends for your day at the beach while you are there!

Food is average but it is a nice place where the locals go. Service can be horrible, in season or off. Inconsistent.

Larry's PX was just 2 minutes from the lovely cottage where we were staying. We had hopes of a place for a nice breakfast to start the day.

The place is easy to find and had a good number of people inside eating breakfast, a good sign.

We took a place at booth rather than the counter and facing a bookcase with books being swapped by customers. After sitting down, the chill settled in. Even though it was Labor Day weekend, it must have been 58 degrees inside. It was numbing and uncomfortable.

I ordered the eggs with corned beef hash, and my wife ordered the eggs and toast.

The eggs arrived cooked as ordered with what can only be described as out of the can very salty hash. The corned beef was mushy and the potatoes were miniature cubes of potatoes that only a machine could cut so small.

The coffee was indeed hot.

If you want corned beef hash, continue on 2 or 3 miles to the Lazy Lobster and get a first class experience.

Unpretentious, excellent breakfast diner food. The server was friendly and the atmosphere was authentic New England small town. I would definitely recommend Larry's if you're looking for a hearty breakfast.

We went to Larry's PX for breakfast because Lonely Planet recommended it. Overall we found it disappointing. The place was really crowded (which, of course, is a good sign), the staff seemed overcharged and was not particularly hospitable. The food is a bit pricy ($ 6.25 for 2 slices of toast, 2 eggs and 4 strips of bacon; want 3 small sausages? Add 2.95!) and just ok. Also I had a hard time to get my "bottomless" coffee refilled. We would not go back to Larry's PX.
