Loved this place. The food was excellent. Delicious lobster rolls and fried shrimp with proper English chips. Don't expect luxury - the food comes in polystyrene containers and you need to find somewhere to sit but it was scrumptious. After watching the seals in the harbour, this was the perfect treat. A little pricey but knowing that the food was so fresh it was virtually still alive made it all worth it. Good portion sizes too.

As a life long New Englander I have developed a special affinity for fried clams and seek out the best locations in my travels. (I'm talking about "real fried clams" with the bellies, not the clam strips popularized by HoJo's 40 years ago.) Now that I live on the Cape year round there are a number of good choices. Just last weekend we braved the traffic and headed out on Route 6A and found ourselves in Chatham at the Chatham Pier Fish Market, not really a restaurant but rather a take out joint right on the water. While my friends opted for lobster rolls (pretty good size and quality) I headed straight for the fried clam plate. Let me say I have been eating these critters for more than 50 years and I can say this platter ranks with the very best I have ever tasted. Lightly battered and fried in fresh oil, these were terrific. Not greasy and just the right size. Combined with crispy French fries and some tasty cole slaw it was a feast. Food quality 5 stars. Overall rating only marked down because it was not really a restaurant.

Delicious lobster rolls but the clam fritters are too oily, doughy and free of flavours or taste. No where to sit and enjoy the food which is a real shame. Overrated

Oh the fried clams! The best I’ve had anywhere in a long, long time!

Certainly not the easiest or most convenient restaurant/market on the Cape – but it is one of the most authentic. This place is a true gem.

Come here for an informal meal of clams and chowder and lobster rolls. Come here to buy your fresh fish to cook up later in the day at your beach house. You will NOT be disappointed with the quality.
