“Very Nice Time”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Thankfully, the Queen Anne Inn allowed us to book one night during Memorial Day Weekend. Finding a place to accomodate us for only one night during the beginning of the high season on Cape Cod was not easy. The staff was very attentive and professional. Our room was lovely (and not "tired" in the least). The inn is quite old and has an interesting history. Our room had a balcony overlooking the grounds and a pretty swimming pool but it was too cold out to swim or sit out and enjoy the view. Our reservation came with a full breakfast which was delicious. I had a sort of fishcake / eggs Benedict that I loved and my husband went with the traditional American breakfast. The only negative comment I have is that our shower never got warmer than luke warm and the water came out more like a faucet than a shower. I heard one other guest complaining to the reception desk of the same problem. The staff didn't really have much to say other than sometimes you need to let the water run for a few minutes. I think both of us had in fact let the water run as long as one should. During the heat of the summer, this problem probably doesn't even come up. All in all, I would recommend this place. I do hope they can figure out how to deal with the shower/water issues. Chatham is a beautiful little town. It can seem a little upper crust New Englandy...but the folks who work and live there love it for the quaint little beach town it is. There's lots to do from going to the beach, bike riding, fishing, shopping or just wondering around looking at the New England style.

It was our pleasure hosting you last weekend, Lisa. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay overall. My apologies for the water temperature and pressure, though. We certainly appreciate your complaint and will do everything we can to fix the problem.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. If you're ever back in Chatham, we'd love to host you again.

My husband and I spent last weekend here and had a fabulous time. The Inn is run by a very friendly and accomodating staff. Our room was large and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and the afternoon wine and light refreshments were a treat. We walked everywhere. It was nice getting out and walking all over town. We will definitely be back.

We just spent 2 fabulous days in Chatham, at the Queen Anne. This place has become a second home to us over the years and we love to return every spring. We love how peaceful and beautiful the Cape looks in the spring.
I must say that the Queen Anne Inn has the friendliest staff! The girls can’t be more helpful and make us feel so welcome! We were happy to see the same faces and catch up.
We always enjoy the complimentary wine hour they have in the offseason in the lounge by the roaring fire.
Breakfast is the best! Chef Ian makes the most delicious French toast. Their dining room doesn’t open until later in the season so we have never had dinner there, but hear it is really top notch, so this is just another reason to visit the Queen Anne and the Cape in the summer.
Thank you guys for everything, we will see you soon!

I finally had some time to sit down and write. This past fall my husband and I made a quick trip to Cape Cod. After many friends recommended Chatham as a destination, we checked out all of the Inns and hotels in town. Its a small town and most properties are close to town, so we began calling, and chose the Queen Anne Inn. We looked at their website, which is great and easy to navigate, and doesn't waste time, but the real selling point was talking to the Inn staff by phone. They were cheerful and very informative, not just looking to sell us a room, but rather to understand what it was we were looking for. We choose the QAI and were very happy. The Inn itself is historical and very charming retaining the characteristics of a time gone by. Everything felt real and decorated as a home would be. Our room was again nicely appointed, our balcony large and overlooked the garden and pool area. Each morning we had breakfast served in the dining room and the garden. Not your traditional "breakfast included," we chose from omelettes, waffles, eggs etc. It was really good, and cooked to order.
We liked the fact that while the innkeepers knew us, we never felt overwhelmed by them as we came and went throughout our stay. We had a ball exploring the cape and most of the ideas came from the Innkeepers, who know a ton about the area.
All in all, we loved our stay at the Queen Anne Inn and will return hopefully this summer, if not earlier.

My wife and I were lucky enough to win a weekend stay at The Queen Anne in honor of Veterans Day. The Inn was wonderfully decorated with antiques and murals and was very interesting just to look around and relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay and made us feel very welcome. We had breakfast included with the room which was excellent. We toured Chatham during the day seeing the sights, shops and resturants most of which we could walk to. We had a great weekend and are looking forward to visiting the Queen Anne again.

We stayed for three nights on our way around New England. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast overlooking the pool area was excellent. Some mysterious noises from upstairs remained unexplained but we declined the offer of a different room. A great location for touring Cape Cod and an easy walk to the local shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed hiring bikes and going on the old rail track.

This was the last stop on our tour of Cape Cod, visiting from London. The staff were VERY friendly, if a little too friendly in a ' Stepford Wives' sort of way. We liked the character of the place but it is definitely in need of some attention. It is just about acceptable downstairs but the rooms are in need of a refurb, especially the beds. It was like sleeping on a park bench. I did mention the bed when checking out and was told something about regulations in the U.S. Well I have stayed in many hotels in America, 5 on this trip and they were all incredibly comfortable. It is also standard in most hotels these days to have tea/coffee making facilities, iron, safe etc in your room. None of which you will find at the Queen Anne. I have had other reviews that say the same thing, each time the management responded with the standard 'happy to learn from the feedback' but clearly they are not willing to act on comments about the lack of investment the hotel needs. I'm afraid it is definitely not worth the money and I felt cheated.

Room Tip: I couldn't recommend the rooms as they are now. The owners need to invest in new beds and upda...

It's truly disappointing that you felt cheated after staying with us. While I do understand your complaints, I want to point out that we're one of New England's oldest continuously operating hotel. As such, we try to maintain a certain quaintness and simplicity that most of our guests appreciate.
