My family and I decided to go on the zip line tour with Zoar as a part of our vacation last week. None of us had ever been but it looked like a pretty cool activity. The experience was GREAT!!! The facilities are clean and the gear is obviously well maintained and inspected. Every person who we had contact with were obviously enthusiastic and very well trained in their jobs. Each group is lead by 2 guides who know their jobs cold. They were also very good at answering any questions we had along with while going on the various parts of the tour they pointed out many interesting facts about the area we were in which only added to what was a really fun time. Our guides were Hackett and Adrea. The tour took our group just under 4 hours and Zoar has 11 zip lines. The tour starts with "ground school" where we were taught how to stop, brake, and self rescue if we didn't have enough momentum to make it to the next platform. It may sound a bit difficult but it's a cakewalk to actually do. Then we were loaded into their utility vehicles for a ride through the woods up to the start of the course. The tour starts with shorter zip lines and progresses to a 660 foot blast toward the end of the tour! There's a break mid way with snacks and water. It's obvious that the enjoyment and safety of our group was very important to them. We plan on going back in the future. As good as our experience was I have to believe that once it's fall and the leaves have turned it's got to be even better :)

We went to Zoar for a zipling and rafting package. We enjoyed every minute of it! Our guides for both activities were so wonderful! We had Vivian for rafting and then Karen and Megan for ziplining. We couldn't have asked for better people for our adventures! All three of the of the guides made it a great experience...even through my extreme fear of heights!

Also if you like camping the cabin tents are great. The joy of camping in a tent but off the ground. Plus there are 4 padded cots, a propane lantern and a small gas grill.

We would definitely like to go back sometime!

Had a great time at Zoars! Staff was extremely friendly and informative, helpful and personable. The rafting on the river was a great beginner experience for my sons, ages 12 and 10. Can't wait to do it again!

This was the second time kayaking the Deerfield with Zoar. We were accompanied once again by Jim Sullivan who is the most incredible and humble kayking ace you will ever meet. More importantly you couldn't ask for a more expert and patient instructor. I went there last August with my older son who was 15 at the time and we did beginer and early intermediat work last year. Although my son did shoot the gap ( the only class 3 on the fyfe brook secton) last year. This year we returned for more fun and instruction. with two teenage boys (now 14 and 16) They are primarily play boaters and they learned a ton from Jim. I am working on getting being confident in a class 3 situation and Jim was fantastic for everyones' purpose. The equipment that they have is top notch. and They are happy to supplement yours if you need anything. We havn't stayed on site so can't speak to accomodations. The water levels from the dam releases are very predictable from what I can tell Seems like the guides can practicallly set their watches on the water rise.

I hope to get back and shoot the gap right side up in the near future.

Really good centre.... well organised and well maintained kit. scenery was beautiful. Could have done with a few more rapids would definitely go for the level3 and above rapids as much of our trip was a relaxing float with plenty of water fights.
