My family and I decided to go on the zip line tour with Zoar as a part of our vacation last week. None of us had ever been but it looked like a pretty cool activity. The experience was GREAT!!! The facilities are clean and the gear is obviously well maintained and inspected. Every person who we had contact with were obviously enthusiastic and very well trained in their jobs. Each group is lead by 2 guides who know their jobs cold. They were also very good at answering any questions we had along with while going on the various parts of the tour they pointed out many interesting facts about the area we were in which only added to what was a really fun time. Our guides were Hackett and Adrea. The tour took our group just under 4 hours and Zoar has 11 zip lines. The tour starts with "ground school" where we were taught how to stop, brake, and self rescue if we didn't have enough momentum to make it to the next platform. It may sound a bit difficult but it's a cakewalk to actually do. Then we were loaded into their utility vehicles for a ride through the woods up to the start of the course. The tour starts with shorter zip lines and progresses to a 660 foot blast toward the end of the tour! There's a break mid way with snacks and water. It's obvious that the enjoyment and safety of our group was very important to them. We plan on going back in the future. As good as our experience was I have to believe that once it's fall and the leaves have turned it's got to be even better :)
