I guess I am not cut out for Cape Cod beaches. I can get past the rocks. Just don't like the lack of waves and the fact the beach is not very wide. You are surrounded by 2 private beaches that have signs up saying please respect our privacy.
Cannot really walk on the beach since this is on both sides.
Nice place to visit but if you like the beach not the greatest area to visit.

Thank Francis H

In the area I went to Sandy Neck, Kalmus, Veterans Beach, but Craigsville was my favorite. It was never really crowded when we went, there was always room for the 10 of us to set up camp. The bath house was a low point. Pretty messy and doors that do not lock. The water has a strip of rocks/shells you need to cross to get to soft sandbar. The water was calm on most days. The last day we had some nice waves due to a windy day. Water was very warm. We always found parking which was 15 weekday 20 weekend. But you can come and go and even go to several other beaches on same pass for the day. Beach sand is a mix of sand and shells but not a problem for walking.

An unusually long sandy beach for this part of the cape. Great for walking, swimming or just hanging out. All ages, and a family atmosphere. Bath house is clean. Parking can get congested.
On season it's currently $20 parking, but that pass is good for all Barnstable public beaches that day.

This is a real Cape Cod Beach. The beach isn't too wide but perfect for kids and family. Take a picnic or go to one of the many eatery's like Four Seas Ice Cream near by.

Nice beach just a short drive from Hyannis where we stayed. Parking was 15 weekdays, 20 on the weekend, but worth the price (you can leave and return here or to one of several other beaches with the one entry price). Very wide beach so even with a lot of people it didn't feel crowded. Not a lot of huge waves, but pretty good swells to make it fun. Lifeguards, bath house, food.
