Visited the Border Cafe on a Sunday afternoon. The chips and salsa were very good. We had the Mesquite Burger. It was good size, cooked right, and the fries were like shoestring potatoes but were not hard. Excellent. The Margarita was the weakest part of the meal. Not much flavor at all. There is a good mix of Mexican and American dishes. Lots of young families. As someone said there is a lot of noise, but fits the atmosphere.

We spent two nights in Burlington as part of a visit to Boston. We drove by the Border Cafe our first night there on our way to another restaurant, and based on the number of cars at the Border Cafe we decided to give it a try on our second night. The food was an interesting mix of Cajun and Mexican. While the restaurant was busy, we had no trouble getting a seat. The food was good and we'd come back and eat here again.

The food wasn't bad, but it was just too much food. My knife was dirty when I got to the table, so I had to ask the server to change it. Besides, being a mexican restaurant, it wasn't cool that I couldn't use my mexican ID to get a drink.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Burlington for a casual dinner. This is one of our go-to places when we have visitors. Very tasty Mexican and Cajun dishes; love the Chimichurri Steak and Blackened Salmon! And the Margarita's are good too, I like that they give you a selection of Tequila's to choose from.

Coming from Texas we expected some familiar Tex Mex fare. Although the restaurant had many signs featuring Texas, the food, however, was only average and not of the Tex Mex quality we are accustomed to. Expect fajitas to be spicy hot!
