Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. All roads lead to Legal Sea Foods. In this case, we are located near four main highways (Routes 128, 95, 93 and 3) on the first level of the Burlington Mall. Make the most of our convenient restaurant location - come for the seafood and stay to shop. Our entrance-way is marked by a water wall. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Legal sea foods is consistently good. I live in San Francisco so I do not have the opportunity for some of the New England specialities... specifically the fried clams. I was not disappointed.
Food and service were exceptional...

On the down side... It was not particularly crowded, yet they stuck us in pretty close quarters with other guests. The wine list was very limited. IE a single Pinot Noir... a house brand.

All Legal's seem the same. Great fish, prepared well ... not cheap, unless you order Annie's Scrod, which I think is the best value on the menu.

Location is in a mall which is not totally ideal as it can make finding a parking spot a challenge at times. One of the evenings specials were Nantucket Bay scallops - odd to find this late in the season, but if anyone is going to have them, Legal's will. Both of us got them and while they were good, I have had better tasting ones at Legal's in the past. I chalked it up to the lateness of the season. The service at this particular Legal's is always genuinely friendly without being over the top. In fact our waitress told us about a special they were having on the gift certificates and that we could buy 1 and then use it for our current meal. We wound up buying $300 worth. Definitely worth the trip - we typically visit about once every other month.

We've been eating at Legals for years. This has been renovated since our last visit some time ago. Food is always good. We shared the hot crab dip which came with rice cake chips. It was good. We all had clam chowda or fish chowda. The shrimp creole was spicy and pretty good. Their mushroom ravioli was also good. Service was friendly and efficient.

We have been eating at Legal for years and we find it to be a reliable place for seafood in the greater Boston area. The quality is consistent and the service is fine and prompt. They can cater to special dietary needs. We love their rolls (simple but delicious), but above all I often end up with steamed lobster and fried onion rings, which they really know how to prepare! There is something for everyone (even if you don't like seafood!)
