Arrived at 7:15 on a Sunday morning. We were the only customers until about 8am. Found out they have a breakfast buffet then. But we were politely told we could have coffee and wait. We chose to order off the menu. Seen some things we haven't seen on a menu in quite some time. Like "pigs in a blanket"! I mean that in a good way. Staff was very friendly. Portion sizes were good. We had omelets with pancakes. The meat lovers omelet had a good amount of filling. Pancakes were nice and not dry. Prices were about the same as an IHOP or Denny's. Some times you see the coupons floating around (which we had). Would go back. Even without a coupon!

After having tried Fishermen's Grill and Bob's Clam Hut in Maine, the seafood here just does not hold up.

My mom and I try to dine at Bickford's at least once a month, usually on a Sunday evening. I always have The Big Apple, their signature dish. It' a huge doughy-like pancake with large apple slices and covered in cinnamon and probably butter. The top is semi-glazed. It's delicious and can last you for 2 meals.

The restaurant is clean and was redecorated in 2012. This is a small chain in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. They have struggled to stay afloat in the last 5-10 years. If you're in the area, give them a try. Should you visit the Brockton, MA location, ask for Bev, she's a hoot.

If you dine at Bickfords you must try the Baked Apple Pancake. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare so expect to wait for perfection. Oh the cinnamon and sugar atop this is mouthwatering.
Also, we recommend the Lumberjack Breakfast. Go hungry and you won't be disapointed.
Good Service. Clean restrooms. Inexpensive. A definate for your entire family.
