We ate here twice last week while in Brewster. I am a Southern California girl living in the Boston area, and Guapo's felt like home to me! The first night I had both a carne asada taco and a shrimp fajita taco, both very fresh and delicious! The second night I had the Baja fish tacos. These were tasty, but battered/fried, which is not my favorite. My husband had the fish burrito, which he really liked, and we also shared the chips with fresh guacamole and salsa...so good!
We sat out side both nights, and didn't mind sharing our picnic bench with another group of people.
Very casual place, great for kids (mine enjoyed both the burgers and quesadillas).
Thumbs up!

Biked to Guapo's on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Ordered their fish tacos and margarita. The fish in the taco, generous portion, nicely crisp. The cabbage and sauce, so fresh. Wedge of lime. Two tacos in an order. A good sized meal. The margarita--also good sized, good ratio of sour:alcohol. Outdoor seating with music piped overhead--festive, fun summer atmosphere. Staff all friendly. My go to for fish tacos on the Cape.

Nice spot just off the bike trail in Brewster. Delicious food, tasty fresh margaritas and friendly staff, all along the wooded edge of Nickerson Park. Recommended.

The food is fantastic. The service is not so good, but at least its not a sit down restaurant, order at the counter and find a seat.

This is the original El Guapos. They have since opened a more ambitious larger space in the center of Orleans, which I prefer.
Pros: You can get crispy tacos if you like those (I do) and all the sides you want to order (red rice, beans, salsa and chips, etc.) You can get cold Margaritas or nice cold beer to wash it down.
Cons: Everything is calculated for palates which are not accustomed to hot spicy food. Everything is bland and mild. The red rice has never seen a proper preparation with sauteed onions, salsa, chicken or beef stock, etc. and topped with chopped scallions. The beans, whether black or refried have no real character.

At the new one in Orleans, you can request more heat, which helps a little, but not quite enough.
