The Captain Freeman Inn was presented, words just can't express. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It definitely has a cozy feel to it. We stayed in the P-Town room. It had it's own fireplace and a sitting room, that is for all seasons. It's very clean. The robes were so nice and soft. It does have a blow dyer ladies, just one less thing you need to worry about. It's a kind size bed, that is comfortable. They had a flat screen with all channels, but no dvd player. They do have free wifi.
Every morning they have a different kind of breakfast. It's really fresh and healthy. It's not your average continental breakfast. They have all kinds of teas that is welcomed to you through out the day.
We went during off season, so everything was pretty much closed down. They do have a pool. You can walk to the beach, which is about an 8 min walk.
The places we ended up going to eat that were around was Starvin Marlin, the owner Steve is great. The food was amazing. I had a lazy lobster and the calamari was awesome. Another place we tried eating was Marshside. It was ok, but way over priced for lunch, but the atmosphere was great. The Captain Freeman Inn also, had a binder with menus in them, to give you an idea on maybe where you would like to eat.
We did get a couple massage at their sister property Brewster by the Sea. We got deep tissue. The spa service was nice. They had a fire place in the room and the beds were really nice and warm ready for us when we had got there. The ladies were so nice.
In all we enjoyed our experience and will be back. We were there for our anniversary and it really suited every need.

Room Tip: The location of the P-town room is more secluded then others. It's on the 2nd floor in the back...

We just spent the President's Day weekend at the Captain Freeman Inn. We stayed in the Mashpee room which was spacious with chairs for reading by a gas fireplace. Perfect for a windy February afternoon. We did the Dining package which included the room, dinner at one of 3 dining options, champagne, flowers and chocolate covered strawberries for a romantic weekend. Our dinner at The Red Pheasant in nearby Dennis was outstanding. We visit many B&B's and with the lovely room, comfortable common areas, attentive staff and delicious breakfast the Captain Freeman Inn is a new favorite!

The owners of this property, who also own Brewster by the Sea, are a very lovely couple. You can tell that they are very dedicated and excited about their properties. They only just took over this property in the past year.

We stayed at the Captain Freeman for two nights in the Truro Room. The room itself was nice -- we made good use of the gas fireplace and tried out the whirlpool tub as well. The bed and the linens were extremely comfortable.

There were several nice touches when we arrived...some flowers in a small vase and a little box of chocolates. When you pay a good deal to stay somewhere, it is often the little things that make a difference. Breakfast the next morning was very good and the staff was very attentive.

We were a bit disappointed with breakfast on our departure morning. The coffee and cream kept running out, we were not offered the fruit starter, and a question I had a check out was unable to be answered. The inn keeper at the Freeman is currently only part-time -- I think our experience would have been different had we stayed at the other inn where the owners are the full-time inn keepers. Though, the Freeman is certainly lovely and will surely continue to become even more so with time.

Donna and Byron are turning this property into another winner like their Brewster by the Sea B&B. The location, about 0.25 miles from the beach and slightly off 6A allowed us to enjoy a walk around. The owners and staff, Shannon at the Inn, and the massuse at Brewster by the Sea were wonderful and did a fine job in their roles.

Room Tip: The Eastham room is large, private and quiet.

On our first trip to the Cape we had a wonderful time staying at the Captain Freeman Inn. All expectations were surpassed. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We stayed in the Truro Suite- highly recommended for those who love giant bathtubs and a warm fireplace; and were greeted with fresh flowers and chocolates followed by a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries- AMAZING. We got a chance to talk to the owners several times and they were absolutely wonderful. By the way, their dog Harrison is a complete sweetheart. We were very well taken care of during our trip and are looking forward to our next chance to come back.

I came here for a weekend away with my boyfriend who had flown in from chicago and it was amazing. Everything was perfect-the hosts were so helpful and kind, the room was GORGEOUS with the fire places, turn down service, fresh flowers, and chocolates waiting for us! We also had chocolate dipped strawberries and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us upon our arrival. Every last detail was accounted for in order to make our stay comfortable and relaxing-down to having a black hand towel and make up remover sheets in the bathroom! (fellow women understand how nice that is) It felt wonderful to be so well taken care of in such a beautiful and historic home for the weekend, I literally can not say enough good things.

Aside from the wonderful hospitality and accommodations, the food on this trip was out of this world! Breakfast was delicious and creative-one day we had a croissant cooked-to-order breakfast sandwich, then next was a Belgium waffle with cranberries and always a ripe fruit "appetizer" we could enjoy while waiting for our breakfast to be cooked. Our host, Byron also made wonderful suggestions for dining out and all our meals were delicious! I highly recommend Mahoney's and the Brewster Fish House.

The home is also a quick walk to the beach, which was gorgeous to walk along (even in February), and the spa services were amazing that are offered at their sister inn, Brewster by the Sea. We found plenty to do in the dead of winter, I can only imagine the possibilites in the summer!

We will absolutely be back and I highly recommend you all do the same! :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Eastham room, which was amazing. There was a gorgeous, huge king-size sleigh bed t...

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Captain Freeman Inn in Brewster on the Cape and had an amazing time. You feel right at home and the staff is the perfectly attentive while not smothering you all the time. The inn is beautiful and we highly recommend the Eastham room.

You will love waking up to the smell of breakfast being prepared downstairs even though the beds are so comfortable you won't want to get up! Highly recommended and we will be going back for sure.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautiful but we preferred the Eastham for the high ceilings and fireplace.
