We wanted to love Ardeo's more. We did take out the other night and got to meet the manager when we picked up our food, who then introduced us to the chef. They were both enthusiastic about the restaurant and extremely professional and friendly... so I'm sad to say anything negative at all... but I'd like them to do better.

We started with the burrata appetizer. The cheese itself was delicious, but the pesto garnish was bitter and the tomatoes it was served with weren't ripe at all. Overall this dish was disappointing. The spinach and goat cheese salad, on the other hand, was AWESOME. It was very fresh and packed with great flavors.

I had the kabob combo for dinner... the chicken had great flavor but the lamb was bland. The rice tasted like a kit I could make at home... it was good, but nothing unique or homemade about it. The yogurt sauce on the side was too gelatinous and lacked flavor - not good at all. But my husband's entree, the encrusted chicken spanikopita, was AMAZING. It's almost like the two entrees came from different places. It was fresh, flavorful, and inventive.

We really only liked half the things we got... but the staff was so nice and friendly I'd like to give them another try.

Menu has quite a bit of variety with both Italian and Greek cuisine. Excellent seafood. Great to eat outdoors in the nice weather.

We only get to the Cape once a year, but make a point of going to Ardeo. This was our first time in their Brewster location. Both food and service were outstanding, and the new bldg is attractive, too. I always overeat here (yikes!). Can't wait to go again.

Ardeo's has been a mid cape fixture for many years, with restaurants coming and going in Hyannis, Yarmouth, Dennis and on underpass road in Brewster. Now the family business seems to be restricted to Brewster, operating meal services at the Towns golf course, and recently opening a new location on Main St (Rt 6A).

The new location has been a graveyard for previous restaurants, and news of Ardeo's coming in was well received. The previous restaurants offered flavorful Mediterranean, Greek and Italian food, at good values, so we looked forward to the new one.

First dinner was a grave disappointment. We will try it again, but another strike and we will write it off - in the expectation the restaurant location will claim another failure.

The menu was familiar, and appealing. Prices higher than at previous Ardeo's locations, but not brutally so - most entrees $16- $21, with some a few dollars higher.

Warm bread, garlic spread, seasoned oil - these provided a very nice and encouraging start. And then things went down hill. My dinner was cavitapi (a spiral pasta) bolognese. The pasta was overcooked, and with the pasta at the edges of the plate cold I assume was prepared well in advance. The sauce itself was not terrible, but over salted to my taste, without the depth of flavor as a good bolognese can exhibit.

My wife ordered the caesar salad, opting to add three lamb rib lets ("lamb lollypops" on the menu) for an extra $9. The lamb appeared unseasoned, and the flavor was somewhat off. Lamb - especially lamb from some off shore sources - can have a slightly gamy taste, off the edge of rich, and that was the case here. The taste lingered somewhat unpleasantly, and two of the rib lets went uneaten.

There were lots of servers, but service itself was, at best, average. Our server was charming, friendly - and out of sight when required. We ate on a very pleasant outside patio, and the inside of the restaurant was sparsely populated by diners - while seemingly the position of choice for wait staff.

We hope this restaurant improves - it would be much enjoyed, and much appreciated, as a dining choice in Brewster, if it can attain the standards once set by other Ardeo's locations (and now demonstrated far better by other restaurants, including Royal II, offering scratch, flavorful and well priced food down the street in Yarmouthport.

This is a fairly new restaurant in Brewster but we had a very enjoyable meal. Menu was a bit different from the usual offerings and included some Mediterranean dishes.
