Really enjoyed the food, we were very pleasantly surprised with appetizers and main courses particularly the interesting ways the chef had created the menu. Loved the lobster pie with crumble, the spicy clams and the double baked potato. However, the restaurant appeared understaffed with waiting staff for the busy summer season and consequently our finished dishes sat on our table (and others) for long periods between courses while the few staff whizzed by. We then endured an interminable wait at the end of our meal for the check and payment processing so much so that one adult stayed while the kids were packed up in the car before they dozed off. In summary, expect great food, but prepare for service that could be patchy.

After not being able to get into the Brewster Fish House we went to the Brewster Inn and Chowder House. Service was excellent. As other people have said, the Clam Chowder was great. The Wine List was small but very reasonably priced. We started with the calamari which was very nice. My wife had the filet that came with a skewer of shrimp and sword fish. The sword fish was awesome. I had the lobster pasta which was excellent as well, but beware it is very rich. I would definetly recommend going here.

The bread pudding dessert was to die for! The menu is somewhat limited, but we were impressed with what we had. In particular, my crab cake sandwich was delicious, and a great value for the money. Homemade pickles and potato salad were great. Service was good for the most part, but our beverages ran low a few times. Overall, I would definitely recommend Brewster Inn & Chowder house if you're in the neighborhood!

Really loved everything about this restaurant, but I could start and stop with the delicious, hands-down-the-best clam chowder. By far, the best we tasted on the Cape and in Boston. Truly worth a return visit.
