5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

If you are a golfer, this is a great place. near the water, and a beautiful course.
the manager sean sullivan was a great asset to the resort. professional and helpful. The restaurant bar over looks the ocean in the distance. a great vista for sunsets.

Truly our best holiday ever. Great rooms, service and amenities. Staff were very helpful. While we only visit USA every couple of years, we will try to come back soon. Restaurants were average but typical for a large hotel or resort.

Stayed here for first time this July after hearing radio commercial. Glad we did. A great secret apparently as we were amazed with all they have to offer.A little pricey although it far beats the typical Cape lodging options. Great pool bar with food delivered right to you.

Originally I had an issue with my reservation that I booked therough a third party...lesson learned. I called the hotel and then spoke with Robert, the manager. He resolved my issue and took care of everyhing else I needed. Upon arrival, I even received a fruit basket and note with his contact information.
This made for a peaceful vacation. My family loved the Resort with all it offered. Our room was clean and well maintaind. The pool was crowded, but it is summer on cape cod afterall.
We ate at the Golf restaurant and fund it reasonably priced with great food and service.
We will be back next year for sure. Thank you Ocean Edge.

This was the second year we have returned to Ocean Edge and the family had a wonderful week. From reservations to pool and beach attendents to housekeeping staff ,all were pleasant, helpful and did their best to attend to every guest. Accommadations were well kept and clean and included everything you would need. We changed where we stayed this year and Arbor Villiage was recommended by Sean Sullivan and that was a perfect location especially because we were traveling with a 3year old grandson who loved the pool. Working on dates to return again next year and possibly spreading the word to other family members to join us . Worth every penny in my book.

We were so excited for our stay at Ocean Edge and sadly we were very disappointed with what we walked into. We arrived late and were told a pack and play would be left in the room for us for our infant, only to find that there wasn't one. Fortunately we brought one as a back up. We were in Britterage Village and while we were excited about the size of the space and the kitchen, everything seemed very outdated and slightly dirty. We woke up the next morning to make coffee only to find old coffee already in there and other garbage left behind. We contacted guest services who were very apologetic but the garbage and the coffee remained there for 4 days even though the beds kept being made. The ACs are the old window type that blow directly on you and weren't always working well. We were also shocked to learn that the closest pool was 2 miles away! Having to take our baby in and out of the car seat to do anything was a big disappointment. The pool areas were out dated. I suspect that the Mansion itself is lovely, but I think the condos aren't worth the money (We paid $260/night). I also discovered after our stay that people can own condos on the property and charge a lot less to rent their space than that of the hotels. I think if you're going with kids over the age of 3 who can play with other kids in the pool or other activities it is worth it, but you have to know that your accommodations are less than ideal. I've listed below the pros and cons as we saw it:

Pros:
- Big property with lots of activities (at a cost)
- If you're at the mansion you have access to the private beach -- if you're in the villages you don't.
- Staff were friendly
- Some rooms have a full kitchen and washer and dryer (great when you have kids!)

Cons:
- Village condos are outdated and dirty
- The beds were old and uncomfortable
- Staff are mainly exchange students who are lovely, but don't seem to know the answer to anything.
- Cleaning staff didn't do a thorough job
- On site restaurants are pricey and you don't get the quality for the price (prices were more expensive than NYC!)

Management was very nice when we decided to check out early as a result, but unfortunately that didn't make our stay any more pleasant.

We arrived mid week and paid a decent amount per night. When we arrived we were impressed by the grounds and friendliness of reception, so we were excited to see the room. When we got into the room we were mildly horrified. The carpet, bathroom and sheets were nasty. Didnt want to let my bare-feet touch the grimy carpet. Also didn't want to spend too much time in the falling apart bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. We originally booked for 2 nights but left after the first bec the wife was too grossed out. For 310 a night, it was worht probably only 90 dollars a night. If you can get by the rooms nastiness and the expensive price, the grounds are nice.

Room Tip: Make sure you are on a top floor because if not you will hear the upstairs neighbors walking on your...
