If you can get over the fact that you're not smack-dab in the middle of a metropolitan area (and I realize that that kind of thing isn't important to everyone), you'll do fine here. It's worth noting that this place is right next door to some sort of industrial plant, with that lovely tire/ brake fluid stench noticeable right when you step out of your car. It's not a problem inside the actual hotel, however. I have come to expect greatness from the Hampton Inn; they never disapoint. The room was large and clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. The only drawback is the location-- there is practically nothing within walking distance, except for a couple other hotels. The shuttle, which runs on-demand, is a great resource, and in under 10 minutes, you can be at the T station (Qunicy Adams stop on the Red line), and on your way to more exciting day trips in Boston and Cambridge. Remember to tip the driver!

If you are looking for a hotel close to Boston (15 min.), this one is offering a shuttle to the nearest T station. You are close to the South Shore Mall & restaurants. Easy to find once you're exiting from I-93. Easy to go from there to Newport, RI. The room & bathroom were very clean, nice for families. The service was very good. Breakfast is OK.

Stayed in this hotel week-end before the Boston Marathon. Pricing on the web site was a bit strange ($30 higher for the Thursday). Phoned the hotel, $30 was quickly removed.

Free shuttle to the Quincy Adams train station that brings you into Boston in about 25 minutes. Be careful, shuttle stops around 10PM in the evening, after that a cab will cost you about $10.

Free breakfast OK, 24h free coffee, tea, nice pool, exercise machine.

VERY clean. Many restaurants less than 5 minutes driving.

You'll end up paying half the cost of a downtown hotel, parking and breakfast are free, a train pass will cost you only $15 for a week, What more do you want ?

A few days after returning home, a survey from the hotel was mailed to us. Good follow up !

Four of us checked in for one night after visiting the F1 go-kart track. We drove to downtown Boston to visit with some friends, and returned to sleep. It's in a very convenient location if you plan to gokart then visit Boston, which is only 15-20 min drive away.

The room was great! Much better than expected. Very clean, with nice amenities and a huge bathroom. The best part was the incredibly comfortable beds. I miss the comforter/pillows. They had movies in the room which were very current, only a month or two from being in theaters.

Overall it was a short stay but we liked it a lot. They offer a breakfast in a nice seating area by the lobby, but we missed it by waking up too late. There's also a small indoor pool, but we didn't use that either. The front desk was very friendly and helpful with restaurants in the area. We would recommend it for a comfortable stay.

We stayed here one night and found the room very clean and well-appointed. The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. Beds were comfortable and swimming pool was well-maintained, although the towel supply was not refilled promptly. We appreciated the handout with local restaurants and directions to get to them. Continental breakfast was very good. Would stay there again.

We stayed at Hampton Inn for 4 nights in September 2006. It is a very family friendly and comfortable hotel, with the best beds... great sleep is assured! They have a sufficient breakfast spread, and and assortment of tea and coffee through the day. The front desk as well as other staff are extremely helpful. We would definiltely recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Boston.

A major drawback : it is far from the main city, but the hotel arranges for drops to the nearest T station.

We stayed 4 nights at this Hampton Inn. It is very conveniently located off Exit 6 of Rte 93 just across the hwy from the Braintree Mall [Legal Seafoods & other restaurants are in there]. We were both visiting relatives living south of Braintree & going into Boston each day & this hotel is right in the middle. This hotel is NOT upscale & has zero view. Make sure that your room does not face the 24 hr factory on the east side of the hotel. The staff were very helpful & there is a room with 2 computers w;/ internet access on the first floor. Rooms are clean & adequate. The HOV lane from Boston ends between exits 7 & 6 so u can use it coming back from Boston in rush hour and going in to Boston in the morning. This is a major time saver. Breakfast was more than adequate, with the only complaint that the toasters were agonizing slow. Check rates as they are included on priceline, etc.
