“Overall, very nice.”
Reviewed November 8, 2009

Stayed for 2 nights with my family before going onto a cruise. Its clean, bright and modern.
Its located in an industrial area of Braintree but this is not an issue as they provide a shuttle to anywhere within 4 miles of the hotel. We used it to go to the South Shore Mall which was about 3/4 mile away.

The breakfast is the usual hotel/motel standard. Tasty and no surprises. The all day tea/coffee tends to run out towards the end of the day but at all times the staff were very helpful and courteous. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and had our room keys handed over within 1 minute. Excellent service as we had a long flight.

The rooms seemed bigger than the normal hotel room and the bathroom was perfect.

The gym had 3 machines and seemed ok . Didn't use it.
We had the swimming pool to ourselves on one of the nights which was fantastic and young kids are allowed use the whirlpool under parents supervision which they loved.

Check-out was seamless. No problems at all.
I would stay again at this hotel but don't expect to be able to walk to anywhere nearby due to its location in the industrial area.

This hotel is located in the middle of an industrial/commercial park so don’t expect a pastoral setting. The photo depicts the view from the rooms facing to the east. The view west isn’t much better. Given the hotel’s remote location on a side road above the interstate, there are no restaurants in close proximity. The closest eating venues were at or adjacent to the South Shore Plaza mall which is approximately a one mile drive from the hotel. The facility itself is the basic Hampton footprint and showed some wear. The wireless internet service did not work in my room.

The hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn for 3 nights in October. Easy access to the highway and to Boston. There's lot of shopping (a huge mall very close by) and plenty of places to eat. I was in room 217. Close to the elevator but very quiet. I would suggest staying on the same side of the hotel as 217. On the other side of the hotel is a metal finishing plant. The smell is a bit foul and not exactly a great view. But once inside the hotel, I couldn't smell the plant. We were only using the hotel to sleep and it wasn't our destination, so the plant next door didn't bother us.

Breakfast was fine, the room was clean, the business center was 100 degrees and the computer were beyond slow but it did the job and printed well. The pool area looked clean (it was empty and we didn't use it). The fitness center was small but seemed fine.

All in all, it was a standard Hampton Inn. Clean, good location and would recommend to others.

This hotel was a delightful surprise. For a very reasonable rate, we got a large room - larger than expected - with two comfortable queen-size beds - significantly more comfortable than expected. The staff was consistently helpful. The free breakfast was way more than just a continental pastry and coffee.
But the real treat was the pool and spa. The pool was not too hot and not too cold. It is bigger than expected, with wide steps at the shallow end that made entry (and exit) easy for someone who is disabled or injured. And they were large enough to be a good play space for young children.
The spa is large, clean and comfortable. We were all happy with the temperature, which is possibly a miracle! It is a great relaxation spot.
With a mini-fridge, this place would have been perfect.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights while in the area on business. For the most part this is your standard Hampton Inn with the same rooms and breakfast as every other one in the chain. The staff were very good and willing to help in any way they could. The couple of bonus features of this Hampton included the complimentary shuttle to the T stop. This came in handy for me even though I had a rental car. My business was in the area of the hotel, but if I wanted to go into the city in the evening I preferred to ride the T rather than deal with parking/traffic/directions. Staff was always quick to provide the ride to the T stop and don't think I ever waited more than 10 minutes. The second bonus was the managers reception on wednesday night. It wasn't too fancy, but did have some nice snacks to tide you over until dinner. No alcohol was provided, but they did serve soft drinks.

Overall I had no complaints for the stay and if I was going to be in the area again I would choose this hotel.

Went for a weekend to enjoy Boston once again and decided to try the Braintree location, we usually stay in Peabody. This totally beat the Peabody location. First of all, it is in a business/industrial area so on the weekends the area is quiet. Check in was fast and the room was available early so we were able to check in at 10 in the morning which was wonderful. Room was a typical Hampton room - no surprises there, clean, neat and always good pillows. Breakfast was more than adequate, especially when it's included in the price of the room. I don't need omelets made fresh in the morning. There was more than an ample selection of juices, fruit, muffins, breads, cereal, etc. There has to be something you could find to start your day. At night warm cookies are out at the front desk and that with a cup of tea ended the evening nicely. The T station is 3 miles down the road and takes minutes to get to. Seemed like the people on the red line were a little higher class than the blue line which we traveled with when staying in Peabody. It was apx. a 20 minute ride on the T to get into the heart of Boston which was easy and fast. The South Shore Plaza shopping mall is right down the block, 1/2 a mile, and they have great shopping and restaurants there. Overall the location couldn't have been better between the T, right off the highways, and the price. Would definitely come back to this location again next time we visit Boston.

As a family of four en route to Nova Scotia, we were excited about our short stay in Braintree and our visit to the beautiful city of Boston. Unfortunately our stay at the Hampton Inn was disappointing. Although the staff were friendly and the breakfast was adequate, our nonsmoking room smelled of smoke and the bathroom was not overly clean. The pool was fine, but the hot tub was very dirty. These were minor discomforts, however, compared to the disppointment yet to come. We accidently left a sundress behind in the room closet and when we called the day after we checked out, the sundress was no where to be found. It was very disheartening to think that someone would take the dress rather than turn it in to housekeeping. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
