“Reasonable price, location a bit challenging”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

Get past the smell and noise from the factory or plant beside it and the hotel is perfectly fine. The plant was very odorous, and the noise voluminous all night. Otherwise the hotel was like most other Hamptons - dependable, and you know what you are getting.

This property just completed a renovation of the entire property, and it looks great. The decor is modern. The rooms are impeccable, and everything is brand new. Very clean. The lobby and breakfast area are great. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. They even have a free shuttle that took me to the mall and my office. Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

The staff is wonderful and attentive at the Braintree Hampton Inn. I would recommend this hotel for the location as well. It is refreshing to see a staff that works with each other and enjoys their jobs. STAY HERE!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn due to the blizzard in New England. We lost power and I knew we wouldn't make it through the night in our house, so I called around till I found a hotel.

The hotel is easy to get to and right down the street from the mall. Which was not open due to the blizzard, but we managed to find some food anyway. :)

The hotel is under renovation. The front entrance was closed, and we had to enter through a side entrance, but the signage is clear. There were construction workers around and the sound of drilling. But it stopped in the evening and it was quiet all night.

Given all the craziness of the snowstorm and the construction, the staff was remarkably positive and welcoming. Check-in was super easy and fast. Our room, with two double beds, was comfortable and very clean. There was a slight problem with our shower not working, but the room had recently been renovated as part of the construction project, and the people who installed the fixtures were right there and made the appropriate repair very quickly.

The renovations are nice, by the way. The property is going to look terrific when it's all done.

Internet service/wifi was acceptable. My daughter, who watches YouTube videos, wished it was a little faster, but I found it sufficient for my Facebook/Twitter/news site browsing needs.

There is a hot breakfast offered. When I saw the pre-made cheese omelets, I was nervous because the last time I had one at a similar hotel buffet, it tasted like plastic, but I tried this one and it was quite good. There were fresh waffles and oatmeal to go along with the usual cereals, breads, fruit and pastries.

I found everyone who worked there to be incredibly nice, which really stood out considering that the phone was ringing off the hook with people seeking shelter from the storm and the construction chaos. Thank you, everyone at Hampton Inn! :)

Hotel was under MAJOR renovations when we stayed - new flooing, new lobby area, only one elevator available, etc. We arrived Saturday at 1pm and they let us check-in early. Went up to 2nd floor room and right away we heard drilling noise. Went back down to lobby and they offered us new 4th floor room. Still heard some noise but were told the construction would end at 5pm and it did. We primarily picked this hotel because of location and the pool and hot tub. Were not disappointed by the pool/hot tub area, exactly what we expected. We used to live in this area and invited friends (w/kids) to join us at the hotel. Would have been nice to have a lobby area to play games, etc, but not available because of construction so just used a table by the pool. Overhead light in room by door flickered all night - electrical issue that I brought to their attention and they said they are working out (hopefully soon for future guests sake). One evening the work out room was closed because the flooring in front of it was under construction. Breakfast room was crowded and one morning we had to share table with strangers so they didn't have to go back to their room to eat (obviously not the end of the world, and they were very nice -- just pointing out that may happen to you as well). The hotel staff was quite accommodating realizing that guest were there during renovations. Only gave 3 stars because of all of the construction - otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Room Tip: as far away from construction as possible.

Not far from highway. Wasn't dumpy at all but they are doing the whole thing over. New lobby, rooms, breakfast room, new BR's in lobby and pool - staff very excited.
at our stay they were in the middle of the renovations - new laid wood floors going in, breakfast room in a temporary spot, check in actually in an old guest room - but all ran smooth, no hitches, breakfast was great, room was a little older but clean and comfy. will be awesome after renovation as it was just fine now.
no hitches to report - great breakfast - many choices. Used the fitness center - just a stairclimber, ellliptical and treadmill, but they were fine and worked well. Friends used pool and hot tub - said was fine.
Good stay with no hitches. if it was redone would have given it 5 stars - just not SPARKLING, but you won't regret staying here. I would have no hesitation about coming again. Call the hotel itself for the best rates - we got it $30 less that way.

Pretty good location except that a factory is right next to the place. I reccemened not to use the stairwell becauce it smells like cigarettes. Nice, clean, and complementary breakfast . Also great to see the suburbs outside of Boston.
