Went for Sunday Brunch the food was satisfactory but not nearly as tasty as J's dinner menu.

J's did not offer a broad selection nor any high-end options that you may find at many brunches. The breakfast items were traditional and very good but J’s fell short on the lunch side offering budget items (chicken with pasta and pork with rice) no sign of fish, shell fish or a nice cut of beef. Food was fresh; the staff regularly rotated out and replenished with fresh and hot entrees.

Service was very good.

Ambiance is what I highly recommend. The restaurant is set in a lovely New England house with nicely decorated comfortable rooms to dine. The wait staff did not rush us and the bunch was at a casual pace and very enjoyable allowing us to settle in and feel relaxed in the restaurant.

After eating we enjoyed sampling the Nashoba vineyards selection of wine and beer and strolled around the property.

All in all a very lovely late summer Sunday afternoon.

Went for Sunday Brunch recently. The food itself was OK, The Good - French Toast, Smoked Trout, Corn Salad, Desert and Cheese table. The Bad - bacon (very undercooked) Chilled Tomato Soup (very bland and not fresh tasting, disappointing as it is the middle of tomato season) the hummus (not made in house), The Ugly - The eggs were watery, the chicken and dumplings was something out of a cafeteria, the breads were stale. Also, every time we got back from the Buffet, our beverages had been cleared! On two occasions, Mimosas were cleared while there was still 25% of it left! Service was below average as they gave you the plates to go to the buffet, yet our server was not very attentive to this. Overall, not worth it for the price

We went for Sunday brunch which is pris fixe and expensive at $22. We had to change tables because the hard interior surfaces made it impossible to talk with all the bright noise.
The food is buffet style, crammed into a small room with some of it spilling into the crowded vestibule. On the plus side the staff was constantly refilling the platters. Good things included the creamy egg strata, savory quesadilla, smoked trout, French brioche toast and salad. Also the usual unfortunate pasta salads.
It is clearly a popular place. I hope they add linens to soften the noise.

This is our favorite restaurant for a special night out. I'm so tired of eating at fancy restaurants that just aren't worth the money. We prize great tasting, healthy food and J's has never disappointed. The service is excellent. Presentation and taste is great. You can spend a lot more but, in my opinion, won't find better.
Many upscale restaurants are to heavy and rich for our tastes. J's hits the spot well with great food that doesn't leave me feeling queasy afterwards.
The wine pairings are a good option, if you like the Nashoba Valley type wines. They're not for everyone but I find them novel and interesting.
It's also a great place to eat outdoors.

Jim,
Thanks for supporting our restaurant and winery, and for taking the time to detail your experience. Nice words and comments do make a difference. We are all so happy that you had good experience and truly appreciate your effort to take the time to share your experience. When you support local farms and family owned buisness, you help keep farmers on the land, and, at the same time, preserve open spaces. Thank you for your support and thank you for spreading the news. Richard Pelletier
