We stayed at the Baird Tavern this weekend, thinking it would make a perfect stopover, as we traveled over and back to a show in NY. While the show was wonderful, our "stopover" was even better. Carolyn greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. We slept soundly -- bed was comfortable, room temperature perfect. We awakened to the best blueberry pancakes (and fresh-squeezed orange juice) we've ever tasted. This morning's breakfast -- omelettes and hash browns -- was also great, and the conversation and good company made us feel as if we had been visiting a friend.

We'll be looking for a reason to return. Soon.

We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary with a long weekend at the Baird Tavern B&B. The owner and her sweet dog make you feel like you belonged here all along. The tavern, which has been in her family for decades, is so beautifully decorated yet so comfortable and homey. In the woodstove heated country kitchen, Carolyn treats you to delicious breakfasts of blueberry pancakes, homemade apple butter and omelets made with fresh local eggs and vegetables. We traveled to various museums and did some hiking nearby, but coming back to the tavern gave us a relaxing ending to our days. We will be going back, hopefully soon!

A wonderful stay at an authentic 1700's road tavern. A hostess that took us in like family, and fed us a breakfast like no other. Bring comfy clothes, and a laid back attitude. You'll be glad you spent some time here.

Baird Tavern is a warm, welcoming and comfortable place to say while in the Berkshires. Carolyn Taylor is delightful and knows the area well. She recommended 2 places for hiking, and we were thrilled with both of them. Breakfasts were fabulous! We will definitely return to the Baird for another visit.

If you are looking for a quiet, quaint place to stay, along with a drop back in history, the Baird Tavern Bed and Breakfast is just th place! The owner, Carolyn, is very accommodating with your needs and she is an excellent cook! My husband and I chose to celebrate our first anniversary with a stay at her beautifully landscaped home. Built in the 1700's the Baird Tavern reflects the homes from that time period.

Along with the simple accommodations and tasty food, her interactive style was very pleasant and non-invasive. Her dog Clark was an added bonus to our stay.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable place to rest, relax and rejuvenate! We will definitely be back, most likely to celebrate our second anniversary!

Thanks Carolyn for a wonderful time!

I recently stayed with my wife at Baird Tavern for a night. Host, Carolyn Taylor, greeted us with a tour of the house. Carolyn is a wonderful caretaker of this truly unique relic; She has maintained the house in pristine condition and knows much about the history of the land. Next morning's breakfast was a delicious feast made with local ingredients and all set in front of large bay windows overlooking the cottage garden and busy bird feeders. Carolyn not only pointed us in the direction of a lovely hike but was kind enough to send a few forgotten items back to us promptly. We're quite lucky that we stumbled upon this unique B & B.

We return to Baird Tavern each time we visit the Berkshires. You get a lot at a very reasonable price--a comfortable mix of colonial decor and modern convenience, gardens and bird-watching for relaxing, and proximity to attractions like Jacob's Pillow(20 minutes) and Tanglewood(40 minutes). Host Carolyn Taylor is most welcoming, besides being a terrific cook. Her cooked-to-order breakfasts are fresh, filling and delicious. Although we have always visited in summer, I wouldn't hesitate to go to Baird Tavern for a getaway weekend in any season.
