We have been to this Chinese restaurant on Rte. 3A in Billerica a few times and it is consistently excellent. We heard about it from a friend as we would never have guessed that authentic Chinese food this good was available in Billerica. This is probably not a Chinese restaurant for someone who expects traditional pu pu platter Chinese food. It is much better than that!

It is a small restaurant in a somewhat unattractive strip mall next to the KMart plaza in Billerica.Be warned that the tables area very close together. The atmosphere is very simple. The emphasis is on great Chinese food here! Menu items you order are brought out when they are ready from the wok. Diners are in and out of this restaurant rapidly due to the fast service. Dinner is 45 minutes, tops.

We order Rainbow Fish, white fish in a cornstarch sauce with vegetables, for someone who is gluten-free and cannot have soy sauce. Other menu items we have tried (with soy) are General Tsao's chicken, beef lo mein, and Sichuan house fried rice. But the star always is the seasonal vegetable, often shown on the separate Specials menu. Try their pea pod leaves, sauteed with garlic and salt (like a stir-fried spinach). Their seasonal vegetable dishes are great!

There are many menu items to try based on how adventurous your taste buds are and what you like. Many of the clientele are Asian and there is a reason they come here. The food is great!

Behind an unprepossessing facade lies some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The majority of the clientele is Asian, which is your first clue that this restaurant is more than it appears. Next door to the Lost Sock Laundromat in a tiny strip mall, this restaurant is always busy with diners and people picking up takeout. The fresh bamboo shoots, dried mushrooms with pork belly, and garlic shrimp were top of the line!

I've been eating at this restaurant for over six years, many times twice a week, with a few fortunate weeks where I was able to eat there three times. Never had anything there that I didn't like, and as a confirmed chile head, have enjoyed their ability to bring the high heat with every visit. Don't like spicy food? Don't worry, they've got other things on the menu too that I've seen colleagues order and like immensely.

Let's start with the lunch specials: you'll be hard-pressed to find a better bargain, with large portions of fresh, flavorful food. Like hot & sour soup? Don't miss it here, it is the best I've ever had. Other favorites from the lunch menu include ma po tofu, Zha Jiang Noodle w. Pork & Spicy Sauce, smokey hot chicken with cayenne, and beef with hot green pepper (feeling under the weather? The Zha Jiang noodles is a large bowl of noodles, ground pork, bok choy ++ that puts the restorative powers of chicken soup to shame).

From the main menu, personal favorites are GinGu fish fillet, old sichuan chicken, dried chicken with chili sauce, and Dan Dan noodles...do yourself a favor, try these - you won't be disappointed.

Service is quick, although meals aren't always brought out together (in other words, they serve it when it is ready, & don't leave it sitting under heat lamps). The place isn't huge, and waits at lunchtime for a table can run ~20-30 minutes, especially on Thurs & Fri. Earlier in the week is usually pretty easy to grab a table when you walk in.

This is the place that all of the native Chinese from high tech companies in the area swear by. Super spicy is available as well as truly authentic dishes. I love the fish poached in chili oil, old style chicken, beef in hot green peppers, Sichuan dumplings. Local like cold beef tendon & long beans with pork.

There is something for both adventurous and not. Really great. Often lines at lunchtime.
