My husband and I stayed at the Beverly Garden Suites on a recent trip to Boston & Salem. It is my third time staying at this hotel and we chose it mainly because it is a good value for the size of the suite and conveniently located near the commuter rail so we could leave our truck at the hotel and use public transportation. As getting lost and finding parking spots are major headaches when on vacation, we decided to go stress-free and take the train. As we live in an area with no public transit to speak of, we're newbies at this type of travel but it was very easy to navigate and we didn't end up in the wrong place even once.
Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. At check-in the person working at the front desk was dealing with a difficult and demanding client on the telephone when we arrived but she was still professional and pleasant to us.
Our room was on the ground level with 1 King bed and a recently renovated bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I liked the new shower doors but didn't like that the bathtub had been removed and replaced with a shower with a fixed showerhead. Personally, I can't feel really clean without a bathtub to soak my tired feet in or if there's no tub, at least a handheld shower head to get those hard to reach spots :-) But, it all, we were satisfied with our stay.
We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our trip. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the area.
