I Just recently returned from my first trip to Cape Cod. We stayed in a lovely B and B, the Ashley Manor, with an original portion of the house constructed in 1699, and with upgrades in the mid 1700's. It was so comfortable, warm and relaxing. The Inn keepers, Pat and Vince, couldn't have been more professional and hospitable and they included a wonderful 3 course breakfast every morning.

Our room, had a jacuzzi tub for two, large shower, tv, small refrigerator, bath robes, coffee maker, private bathroom, a fireplace and an amazingly comfortable queen size bed.

Everything was top notch, very clean, and very organized, right down to the smallest detail.

Maps of the local villages and attractions were all available at the Inn as were menus of the many great restaurants nearby. Everything we asked for was at our fingertips, all we had to do was ask. Even complimentary port, brandy and sherry in the cozy library.

If you are looking for a relaxing and welcoming B and B in Cape Cod, be sure to stay at Ashley Manor.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

It was fun having you both stay with us. As this was your first time at a B&B, we are pleased you had such a good time. Glad you enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. We hope you'll continue to make B&B's your first choice when you travel. Pat and I hope to see you again on Cape Cod

Second stay for us and we were completely satisfied in all aspects. From the comfortable room, working fireplace, and phenomenal breakfasts the inn couldn't have been better. Vince and Pat are exceptional hosts and go out of their way to ensure that everything is first class. We would highly recommend this B&B for anyone traveling to Cape Cod. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Ashley Suite has a private entrance from the main house. Any room is well appointed.

We stayed spring 2013. Room smelled of mold & mildew. We had to slepp with the windows open to air out the stench and, as they had window air conditioners, no central air. Upon arriving, they greet you by making you pay for your entire stay up front . . .kinda made me feel like a criminal. Even a 5 star hotel allows you to pay upon departure. Breakfast has no privacy, since they only have 3 tables, you must eat with strangers. There is also no choice for what you want for breakfast, you eat what they give you, and it isn't a lot. I am a very personable fellow, but my wife & I work long days and hours and when we go away we'd like some together time, not seated with people we don't even know. I would not stay there again.

I'm confused. You stayed with us for 6 nights and NEVER told us any problems, and then you waited over 7 months to post this review? Do you have another agenda?

Since your stay in April, we've had 1,628 guest stay with us at Ashley Manor. Not ONE has ever had a problem or complaint with our Inn's cleanliness. Further, all of the details concerning check in, breakfast, amenities and payment are detailed on our web site and in the confirmation email you received prior to your stay. Again, you stayed 6 nights and NEVER mentioned anything to us?

But, you're right about one thing: we are not a big box hotel. We are a small, 6 room, Historic Bed and Breakfast. We strive to provide our guest with the best B&B experience we can. If there is anything our guest need or prefer, all they have to do is let us know and we make every effort to make it happen.

There are over 250 B&B's on Cape Cod. Every one of these Innkeepers will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable, all you have to do is ask.

Maybe the B&B experience is not for you; maybe a "very personable fellow" like yourself would be happier staying in a Motel.

3 couples traveled east to Cape Cod for a fun weekend. I am very glad we settled on Ashley Manor as our "home" base. Vince and Pat were perfect hosts and wonderful experts on the area. The rooms were very different but each was great. The cordials available in the evening were a great nightcap before bed as we allowed dinner to settle and recapped the day.
Their recommendations for day trips helped create a delightful weekend.
Every morning we started our day with a delicious 3 course breakfast prepared by Vince and served by both of them. While eating, we picked their brains for the details of our plans for the day. Pat made phone calls to book the ferry to Nantucket and an on island tour. The next day, she told us what to do and where to park in Provincetown. Very helpful. When we asked for dinner recommendations, Pat was on the phone making reservations to ensure the had a table.
On our way back to Boston to catch our flight we had enough time for one place to visit. She recommended Plymouth. We stopped and saw Plymouth Rock. Worth the trip. A bit of walking before a plane ride.
All in all a great time. Thanks, Vince and Pat.

Great location for touring the Cape Cod area. Hosts were extremely helpful with dinner reservations and information about the area/services. The breakfast was different, delicious, and special every morning. We were especially thankful for the excellent driving/parking directions for the Martha's Vineyard Ferry departing Woods Hole.
