Another nice place to take pictures and to look at all of the pictures in the house. Had a lovely conversation with the great granddaughter of Dr. Mudd, who took time to talk with me. Family is still actively trying to obtain a pardon for Dr. Mudd. Very interesting story about Dr. Mudd.

“Fascinating history!”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

We enjoyed the visit. For those who don't know, Dr. Mudd set John Wilkes Boothe's broken leg after he assinated President Lincoln here. There is still debate over whether he recognized Boothe or not. The family's side is well presented here. They are convinced he was wrongfully convisted.

Waldorf is a small town with a lot to offer. The Mudd House is a nice tour and a good value.
