Black Walnut Point Inn

The Black Walnut Point Inn is a very historic, well-kept, and enjoyable inn. Bob and Tracy obviously love what they do and it shows in the overall experience. It was a cold, windy day when I was there, but I was kept warm in my attic room with the space heater. I also found a number of extra blankets and comforters in one of the trunks. I look forward to going back there in warmer weather so I can enjoy the grounds more.

We came here 8 years ago and have been overseas since. We finally got a chance to come for one night this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised to find the place has gotten even better! The new owners are fantastic- hilarious and helpful. We loved the cottage and only regretted that we could only stay for one night. We will certainly be back.

Even with hurricane Sandy approaching everything was great!
We were greeted warmly and checked in
And then we were given a tour of the property with history of the island and of the house itself. And we were given a map of the island and shown where all the different resturants on the island are.
One of the owners even took our bags to our room for us while we toured the house.
In the morning we ate a bountiful breakfast in the diningroom that was delicious!
Our visit was nothing short of wonderful!
And the Bay room was absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much Black Walnut Point Inn we enjoyed every last minute of our stay!

Only here for one night in one of the cottages. Fabulous setting, great hosts, and the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the sunrise from the bedroom. Bird Sanctuary walk was nice, convenient to good restaurants and yet you feel you are truly away from it all. Great value with the Fall special rates. Thanks for a great (too short) stay.

Room Tip: Cottage great for cooking own meals and really has everything you need.

Bob and Tracy personally ruined my wedding. They are horrible people.

Nice location. Pitiful accommodations. The nice old rooms that used to be there got blown away in a storm and they replaced them with some cheap trailers covered in some plastic fake rock paneling on the bottom.

Stay at the Harrison Inn - it's way better. You can always ride the free bicycles from the Harrison down to Black Walnut and see the view....and fish with your free Harrison fishing rod. Then go back to your nice hotel with a fun crab-deck/bar and nice people who are actually locals from the Eastern Shore.

Don't have a wedding here...Bob was a hot mess with our event and Tracy was just waiting in the woodwork to have some inappropriate outburst at the most inopportune times.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

The Inn is beautifully situated at the tip of Tilghman's Island. I saw a spectacular sunset and we both saw eagles in the bird sanctuary. Bob and Tracy were gracious hosts. Little perk: a nice assortment of postcards that will be mailed for you as a courtesy. I may be the only person still writing postcards, but I enjoyed doing it. The attic hideaway room was cute and cozy. There was also a DVD of the Waterman of Tilghman's Island available that is well worth watching. The only negative: some of the furniture and amenities could use a little updating, but I am sure that will come.

This beautiful B&B is located at the very tip of the island in a bird sancuary surrounded by the Choptank River and the Chesapeake Bay. The owners, Bob and Tracy, are very welcoming and very knowledgable about the history of the Inn and the area. The room was lovely, the breakfasts were good and the sunsets were spectacular!

A great place for a peaceful getaway, but also about 15 minutes to St. Michaels, which boasts many shops, restuarants and the Maritme Mesuem. The Black Walnut also has a very pretty little pool, a jaccuzi and hammocks and chairs strewn throughout the property if you just want to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We will be back!
