This Inn is in a wonderfully remote area. If you're looking to get away and want peace - not a tourist trap - this is a great place to stay. Be forewarned - when the wind direction is from the north, the flies are unbearable. Spray doesn't help. The views are fantastic. The pool is great. The Tilghman Room was terrific. My boyfriend thought the daily breakfast was great (egg souffles with Canadian bacon or sausage, waffles, pancakes, French toast, fresh fruit). I wish they had more healthy options, and wish they had a water cooler in the house. The Innkeepers and their staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bird sanctuary trail was a bit of a bummer, as we didn't see any birds, or any of the four bald eagles or their nest that is apparently there.

The Black Walnut Point Inn is much more than a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. It's a destination in itself. We found ourselves deciding whether we really wanted to some of the things we had planned to do or just stay on this amazing property where you can fish, explore, walk or just relax while surrounded by the Bay. Other reviewers here are correct. It has to be experienced. We will return in the Fall.

Room Tip: It was an exceptionally hot few days. The screened-in porch that the cabins offer was a perfect way...

We've been coming to Black Walnut Point Inn for several years and always love it. The world's tensions seem to drain away as we walk to the point and look out over the water. Since Bob and Tracey took over management, the property has been beautifully and respectfully upgraded, pruned, planted, and made even more special. The lovely, surprise seating areas, arbors, and birds' nests are such a delightful surprise. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast (and all-day snacks) yummy and ample. We'll be back!

Room Tip: If you're tall, avoid the attic hide-away, which for shorties like us is a fun retreat -- a floo...

I have to tell you...this place is more amazing in person than to see on the web. My husband and I went here for a weekend getaway from life. The silence, the service the welcoming, friendly faces are incomparable to anywhere else we have stayed. Bob and Tracy were a boatload of information about the history of the island and Chesapeake Bay...they were accommodating and comical as well. Did i mention BOATload...While staying here we sailed on the a Skipjack that also had some amazing views. Cptn. Wadey was informative and funny.....But most of all ...this trip was well worth every dime. The views out our cabin windows were priceless and Peggy and Ms. Virginia were excellent cooks.. This is a definite need on your vacationing itinerary for your relaxation needs. We plan a future visit in the winter, since Bob recommended the silence of winter on the bay....Thanks to them...we did not want to come home.!!! Many thumbs up on this trip!!!

Room Tip: You must book a cabin...The B&B is wonderful...but the cabins are perfect for seclusion :)

If you want a place to get away to beautiful peace and quiet, go to Walnut Point Inn. The site is stunning. At the southern tip of Tighlman Island where the Choptank River joins the Chesapeake Bay, you are surrounded by water on three sides. You can watch the sun come up over the water in the east and set over the Chesapeake Bay in the west.

Then there is the benefit of restaurants, especially seafood. On the night I was there, at a local restaurant I overheard the owner telling a customer that the softshell crabs on the menu came off the boat at the dock that morning. That you can't top. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and you are within a short drive of St. Michael's and Easton, with shopping and many art galleries. If you want excitement, don't go to Walnut Point. If you want beauty and peace and quiet, go.

We spent the weekend at Black Walnut Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a great time. Both Bob and Tracy were very friendly and did whatever they could to make our visit a special stay. They have done a great job in decorating the inn and keeping everything nice and clean. The view from the inn of the natural preserve is just wonderful.

Room Tip: Unless you need a lot of exta room the standard rooms in the house will do just fine.

The scenery was beautiful, the mood was serene. Bob and Tracy are wonderful people and stellar inkeepers, and Peggy and Ms. Virginia were excellent cooks. Not only did we relax and have fun, but we discovered a place to which we intend to return many, many more times. Thanks for a wonderful anniversary getaway!

Room Tip: The cabins are beautiful, rustic-looking, but with modern conveniences (and air conditioning). High...
