“The Place for Crabs”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

We have been here many times over the years. Today we drove almost an hour and a half to enjoy the day and eat Crabs. The restaurant was packed. All the servers were smiling and helpful.
Started with an amazing crab dip. It melted in your mouth.
The soft shell crabs were so moist and juciy. The potato salad is one of the best I have ever had.

If you want seafood in a laid back place on the water, this is the place.

“Offthe beat'n path and worth the trip”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

When first driving there we were sure we were lost then Bingo, the place appears.
it is an out of the way place with great food and good service. We were there on a week night so can not comment on the outdoor aspects but, inside the service was attentive without being smothering.
Crab cakes were very good, as was the steamed crab. Calamari appetizer was a smaller portion than expected for the price. Will have to give them a try during the day and check out the outdoor activities.

“Good food family like atmosphere”

Nice selection. Cream of Crab soup is one of the best I have ever had. Busy in summer and weekend with transients. Staff interactive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone wanting Maryland Seafood or Crabs

“Great Getaway”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I flew into nearby grass strip at Kentmorr and walked to the restaurant with same name in a few minutes down a quaint waterside village type road. The restaurant was not crowded due to it being early in day and in off season, but you could tell this location was quite popular and had capacity for large crowd due to Tiki type bar setup on the water and setup of linterior dining and lunge area. Food and service was not spectacular, but very good. Setting and views of Chesapeake were excellent!

“Not great”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Had dinner here on a Saturday night in August. We had a reservation and were seated immediately on the patio. Drinks were just okay, made with bottled orange juice; I had the same drink made with fresh-squeezed juice at every other restaurant/bar where I ordered it, so that was disappointing. The crabcake was full of crab, but was on the dry side, and my husband's fried platter was mediocre - lots of food, but again the fish, scallops and shrimp were very dry. This place seems to focus more on "feed 'em and move 'em out" than it does on the quality of the food. We were disappointed, as this restaurant was recommended to us and we found it lacking. The location is great, although the beach is a little tacky. But it was rainy when we were there, so all we did was walk down to the bay for a few pictures and leave. All in all, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area with much better food.
