“Awful.”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

My experience here was so terrible, I had to write a review, which I never do. Service was slow...and the food was horrible. I am not a picky eater, but this was amazingly bad. I ordered fettucine alfredo, and the noodles were doughy and all clumped together. I sent it back and decided to get spaghetti and meatballs (who can mess that up?). The sauce was awful. The meatballs were worse. They were hard as a rock, and had a terrible flavor. Seriously...do not go here. It's a shame because Calvert County is lacking in good restaurants, and this place could be so nice given its location...if the food didn't taste like crap.

“Very unpleasant dining experience”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

We went there Saturday night and had an very unpleasant dining experience. The restraurant was only half full and the service was terrible. The waitress was incapable of waiting on a table with nine people. She could not get the orders straight, several of the entree's were cold and the wait was painful. The food that was hot was average. The staff was sitting around rather than helping each other. Save your money

“Wine Mingle - great wine, food and friends!”
Reviewed March 25, 2012

My husband and I and a few friends went to Digiovanni's first wine mingle today. For only $20 per person, the owner had four bottles of opened red wine on our table for four people (do the math, wow!). The owner is a very nice man who sat at the table beside our with two of our friends and joined us in our conversation and fun. He had a nice handout that told you about each wine and the wine was self serve. He also had a nice selection of food, buffet style which you could help yourself to as much as you wanted. The foods consisted of crackers, bread, goat cheese spread, olives, peppers, meatballs, rice & shrimp dish, cabbage wraps..........I'm really not doing this justice because I know there were a couple of more items that I can't remember. The food and all the wines were delicious. The only negative was that there were not more people, just the six of us. When drinking wine, it's nice to make friends - the more the merrier. Maybe it was because it was a cloudy day. The restaurant is in Solomons Island, look for the sign on the left past the public restrooms. The setting is beautiful, right on the water. On a nice day, you could sit outside. The next wine mingle is April 29th from 2p-5p, mark your calendar. It's best to R.S.V.P. so the owner will know how much food to prepare, look up the website to get the phone number. There was no pressure to buy wine to take home, however, the wine was so good we bought two bottles - $15 per bottle what a good deal. You can dress however you want, slacks or jeans is appropriate.

“Enjoyable Night Out”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

We had a great night out at Digiovanni's. It was really busy and service was a bit slow, but not at all unacceptable. The food was really good and they had a great wine list. Dessert was excellent, too!! We've been here a couple of times and each time, it was very good.
