The "Pier" is the social rock of Solomons and best place to observe sumptuous sunsets set against the graceful Johnson Bridge. A popular spot for Solomons locals and visitors alike, the Pier is known for its award winning Crab Cakes, fish bites, oysters, orange crushes, mussels....salads....well, you get the idea.

View was outstanding but food was average. Crabcake was not very good. The ones on Smith Island we had the day prior was much better. Seafood corn chowder was however, very delicious. Mixed green salad with pecans, dried cranberries was great too. My blackened chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado was average.

We went up to Stoney's Pier for dinner on Saturday night and they had over a 2 hour wait (apparently they had a large party of 50 upstairs). So we walked over to the Kingfisher. They told us that it would be an hour wait (which at that point we didn't mind). We were going to sit out front and have drinks and maybe an appetizer. When they called our name 10 minutes later we were so excited. We sat down, the waitress took our drink order and then took our food order, and over an hour later we had only seen a couple of bowls of soup arrive to the table. The drinks came in stages. Some people ordered appetizers and salads, and the waitress thought that we wanted them all at one time! Not sure why she would make that assumption. At one point people were going to the bar for drinks because she never brought the second round of drinks we ordered. When the food still didn't arrive, I complained to Vince, the manager. He was VERY receptive, and brought us a couple of appetizers for free. Within 15 minutes of our complaining to the management, we all had our food. Of course it was all at one time, so we couldn't even enjoy the meal in stages. It wasn't as if we were the only large table. There were two other tables, with about 8 people at them, and they got their food way before we did. We go to Solomon's Island at least once a year. Will think twice before eating at Stoney's Kingfisher again.

This was the best seafood we had all weekend. The steamer is $ but worth it. Lots of great seafood. We enjoyed the view as well. The serivce was good. I wish the steamer came with a salad or potato but other than that it was good.

We stopped here for lunch while spending the day in Solomons and we sat on the patio which is situated on the water. The service was alright, but I felt like the girl serving us was trying to rush us out the door immediately after we finished our lunch. She asled us three times if we wanted to order drinks or just the check. Overall the food was average and the prices were high. The best part of our visit was sitting by the water and eating lunch.
