“Come on you know it's good”
Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Excellent service. I mean first rate. Fresh old school seafood. Healthy probably not but so bad it's so good. Fried fresh here is amazing. Sides amazing. Knowledge of product amazing. It's a throw back to another time that will have you smiling. Loved it. Will always return.

“Wonderful rock fish from an old fashioned place”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

This place is a relic but the rockfish stuffed with crabmeat is to die for. There is no atmosphere and the place looks like it is out of the 1940s when it opened. There is a separate room with a long bar and another narrow dining room

“Best seafood in the Washington DC area!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

I have traveled to Washington on business and pleasure many times over the last 25 years. I've always sought out good seafood restaurants and found many. Crisfield's Seafood is hands down the best. The ambience is like something out of the 1950's but the food and staff are fantastic. I ordered a platter of lobster, crab and shrimp and it was so fresh and plentiful. This will be a must stop place from now on when I'm in town.

“Miss the old days”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Growing up, my father would take my brothers and I to Crisfield's practically every other Sunday, and we always sat at the bar. I rarely wavered from the baked stuffed shrimp....crab fingers were always a must-have if they were in season. A bowl of oyster crackers kept us kids busy while we waited. The staff never changed, they were a "family", and when packed, they worked as a well-oiled machine, cranking out orders left and right. Hot, crusty Ottenberg Kaiser Rolls came with everything. They used to store the rolls in huge brown paper bags. Now they are stored in plastic bags and come out rubbery. The biggest change of all over the years is that they now accept credit cards. It was a cash only joint for the longest time.

“Definitely Overrated”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

I had the "Seafood Norfolk style" (lobster, crabmeat and shrimp combo). The food was bland. It tasted like boiled seafood soaked in butter sauce. Priced $32. The restaurant may be living off it's reputation in the past. The place needs major upgrade. The bisque was good though, I will give them that.
