This place has been around for more than 50 years and it shows -- and that's a good thing. The staff is very no-nonsense, but that doesn't mean they aren't nice. I recommend a seat at the u-shaped, old school counter. Oysters are awesome (when in season) and the bar"tenders" will probably slide you an extra one or two. The menu is no frills and, honestly, a little pricey, but the food is excellent. There's plenty of fried offerings, but I like the broiled seafood platter. Small beer and wine selection, but that's not why you're there. The walls are adorned with 50+ years of pictures of all the celebrities that have passed through the door. Bring cash for a tip and pay at the register on the way out.
