We were greeted politely, although the communication was difficult because english is not the primary language of the owners/staff.

The sign advertised a "remodeled room" and new management. I shudder to think what it was before. Upon entering the room smelled horrid. So bad that we went and got Lysol and candles. The mattresses still had plastic wrap on them. Towels did not smell good and were teeny, fridge in room was on but kept nothing cool.

Then the toilet broke and would not flush. Someone came right away, however did not have the part to fix it so we had to flush by reaching in the tank and flushing. I could deal with that until my daughter climbed in a bed that only uses top sheets, not fitted sheets that stay on - -and there was a huge cricket in her bed! We could not find it , so we asked for, and got another room.

SAME HORRIFIC smell - and the toilet/shower room light was out. This room is so small you cannot change your clothes in it. We waited until morning to shower and found all the crickets. Don't know what "Continent" serves a crap breakfast like this place. The best feature was the free ice.

They have to get a professional cleaning service and not continue to use their family members as the cleaners. The price was cheap but in this case you get what you pay for - nothing.
Do not stay here.

We checked out and moved (again) to Comfort Suites in Ocean City - it was heaven!!

I work for a construction company and set up a stay at the days inn for my crew while they were in town working on a project. The next day they woke up to find that the company vehicle was broken in to and ten thousand dollars worth of equipment was stolen. Throughout the night, my crew also heard gun shots in the area. The photo of the hotel may look nice, but in person, it's a crappy motel six with bed bugs crawling all over the room. It makes me wonder how they ever passed inspection. It is an unsafe area and the room conditions are unsanitary.

My brother and I were on a 2-week excursion around the Delmarva Peninsula. We ended up in Salisbury, MD December 31, 2003. Salisbury is not a bad little town, it has its problems, but so does everywhere else.

To put it lightly, this hotel is joke. The rate was okay, $69.00 for the night, but once in the room, they should have paid us to stay there. Here is a list of problems.

1.) Large water spot stain/peeling paint over one of the beds. My brother was afraid that the celing would collapse on him during the middle of the night.

2.) Tufts of pubic hair on bathroom floor and in shower.

3.) Filthy bathroom floor. Odd array of unnatural odors and colors.

4.) Shower had excessive gray and brown mold growing from the ceiling.

5.) Bathroom was so small, that you couldn't close the door while sitting on the toilet.

6.) Lights above mirrors didn't work.

7.) Sockets in room didn't work, so I couldn't re-charge my cellular telephone.

8.) There was an unusual odor on the towels in room. Kinda was a cross between stale feet and Nip-Chee Crackers. Very perplexing.

9.) Front door lock chain was too short to work.

10.) My comforter had multiple cigarette burns and an odd smell of sausage.

11.) The headboards were duct-taped to the wall.

There were so many unusual odors in this room, it was actually quite frightening and disgusting. Do not stay here.

Oh, by the way, the "free continental breakfast" consisted of Chips Ahoy cookies, white bread (no toaster or condiments), and Sam's Club Cola Pop. Wow, the Breakfast of Champions.

We stayed there in March, and overall experience was not pleasant at all. We had a feeling that we stayed at train station overnight. The noise from outside and from adjacent rooms were disturbing well into the night. We had a problem with a key to our room and had to call somebody from front desk. I could barely use the sink, and after I did I was splashed with water all over. Although the beds were OK and there was no weird smell in a room we were woke up in the morning by rolling carts outside and slammed doors, so sleeping in was not an option. I rather sleep in a tent than stay there again.

Our family and friends recently stayed at the Days Inn in Salisbury, Maryland and we were treated rudely as soon as we walked in to get our room key. The front desk staff was rude. The rooms were okay but we will never stay at this Days Inn ever again. Another friend came down the following day and asked for a reservation and put a deposit down on her credit card. Her and her kids went back to get the key and was told by another staff member that the room was given away because someone came in with cash and they already credited her card back. There were no more rooms in the area. I think that was just down right disrespectful.

My bathroom had mildew in the corners (fellow travelers reported the same thing in theirs). Lid for the ice bucket looked like something was growing on the underside of it. Corner of bedsheet looked like it had grease on it. Motel location and price were OK, but I wouldn't stay there again.
