“Could be better”

Really good onion soup. Steaks not great. Atmosphere just blah. Nothing to go back again for. Manager eager to please.

“Great lunch spot, but choose carefully”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

I've been to Lonestar 3 times for lunch now. The bacon mac and cheese will make you weep for joy, Incredibly yummy and greasy and fattening. I've tried every beef sandwich and they're great, but you might want to order horseradish and mayo on the side. As for the soups, don't bother with the so called lobster and shrimp chowder. It's really just a potato and corn choweder with a few baby shrimp on top, in a thin seafood broth. I got one tiny sliver of something that looked like lobster. Then there is the onion soup. Sometimes is great and sometimes it's awful. No consistency there. I would pass on the soups. So, try the mac and cheese and sandwich combo for lunch and you'll be happy. If you want soup, go somewhere else.
