“A hidden gem that will surprise you!”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

You will be pleasantly surprised at the food quality and service, despite the marginal location and setting. We stopped into Sobo's for dinner while traveling to pick up an out of town guest at the Salisbury airport. Walking into Sobo's, we were greeted by the manager Brett who helped seat us right away. Our server shared the cocktail and dinner specials with us and we began with a local craft beer, a muddled berry cocktail, and the cucumber lemonade-all tasty but the gin based lemonade won the day.

We shared a flatbread with crab and caprese which was tasty but could have been crispier. This was complimented by a crab soup, a lentil soup and a wedge salad. All were very good and large servings. Our selected entrees were all the daily specials, the firecracker rockfish and the bacon wrapped filet. Both were winners and would be chosen again.

Dinner was capped off by a French press coffee. We don't frequent this area of the shore too often, but the manager told us their company owns a number of varied locations and brew style pubs under the Southern Boyz label that we will consider trying.

“Awesome experience”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Started off with a great martini and a local craft beer. Our apps were mussels and crispy brussel sprouts. Both were outstanding starters. We finished with the daily specials which was a fresh fish and filet. Both were cooked perfectly and the pricing wasn't outrageous. We will definitely be back here when we come to visit.

“Atmosphere and menu personality”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Sobo's is one of those restaurants where you go to dine during your meal. The food is fantastic, Arturo, the chef is an amazing addition to SouthernBoyz. He has created a menu that speaks to all tastes and offers daily "chalk board" specials that are generally OUTSTANDING. Don't ever pass up the halibut if is the special of the day. His risotto's are remarkable, not the usual pasty mash passed off as "creamy" risotto. The fresh catches are always served with a little eastern shore flair, and the steaks are the quality of famous steak-centric restaurants found in larger cities.

“Not up to the hype.”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

My wife and I saw numerous good reviews of the Southern Brothers group of restaurants in Salisbury Maryland. We were in town and chanced upon the restaurant Sobo which is part of the group. Service was good and room attractive, but alas the food did not measure up. We shared mussels in garlic sauce which was pedestrian at best. My rockfish was tasteless and judging by the size of the filet could have been the "children's portion". My wife had fish tacos which also were bland. The prices were OK but that along with the service were the only "ups".
