My wife stopped on our way to Virginia Beach and then when returning back to Maryland on our way home. Great food, at a reasonable price! Quaint place! You won't be disappointed when you make the stop here!

There's something about a garden mosaic in the shape of a cocktail that just drew me in. My friends were dubious. The signs outside of the Market Street Inn with their promises of cheap Bud didn't look promising but it was raining hard and we were hungry. Imagine our surprise when we found a very attractive interior with more than just Bud on the beer menu.

In honor of the National Folk Festival, the Inn had a special brunch. My friends are scrapple fiends and were disappointed to find that scrapple was not a part of the brunch. Our waitress, however, managed to get them a special order of scrapple. Though it wasn't Greensboro scrapple, it cheered them mightily!

I ordered the seafood omelette which came stuffed with lots of fresh crab, shrimp and other goodies and a sinful amount of rich, soul-satisfying cheese (Goodbye Weight Watchers Diet!). The side was the most perfect fried potatoes I've ever had. Chunks of potatoes deliciously seasoned and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy within. At $15 it was a bargain!

Had lunch here on Tuesday afternoon and not very busy. Sat in the pub area and ordered a crab cake Caesar salad. Crab cake came out so very burnt! Not sure how the kitchen and wait staff would even think about letting something leave the kitchen like this.

I tried it anyway just to see if there was a possibility it tasted okay. It did not. Tasted so burnt and was completely inedible. Took a while for the server to come back to check on us, and told her that it was not edible, and she said “oh because it’s burnt!” ...yeah.... well needless to say, I hope they improve what is coming out of the kitchen. Would also be nice if any manager came to the table to apologize because that is just embarrassing on their part.

Service was very good. We ordered off the specials menu- the swordfish was delicious and very fresh. The coconut shrimp appetizer was also very yummy. A storm was blowing in, so could not sit outside which would have been nicer as it was very cold inside with the AC . Wine list was OK

Always a great watering hole. Restaurant food and service is better quality than most other local spots. Great outside deck
